I also have an RP70 with the same problem. You can fix it, but know what you are dealing with. I love the sounds I can achieve with the unit (hard to replicate). Open the unit up by removing 4 phillips head screws on bottom and remove plate/cover. The poor design is the rubber snubbers on the inside of each plastic foot switch. The rubber snubbers press against switches that are part of the circuit board. You have a few ways of adjusting the foot switch tension: 1. Tighten or loosen the 2 screws of the circuit board closest to the foot switches and check the response; 2. If that doesn't work, insert tiny washer (s) under the rubber snubber(s); 3. I did all of the above and continued to have inconsistent responses until I just left off the bottom cover which effects stress on the unit's frame. I keep it on a very level location and have had no more problems.....except, it is exposed to the dirt etc.

Double check all your settings, then do a reset. If that doesn't work it will need to go to the shop. Here is the Digitech contact page to ask them or to find a service center-

How do you fix a stuck foot switch on a Digitech RP350 guitar processor?

You might want to take it apart and clean it. My bass player had problems like that and I took it apart to see if I could find out what was wrong, It looked like a mouse was living in there. Its amazing how much crap builds up in those things. Just pay close attention to what you take off so you dont have problems assembling it back together. Maybe even take pictures if your electronically challenged like me. otherwise the botton might be shot, hopefully not. good luck to ya, I hope I helped. peace!

The foot pedal (not the switches) on my "DigiTech RP90 Modeling Guitar Processor does not work...it will move but it changes nothing.

All DigiTech expression pedals use an optical system instead of potentiometers.

Either the light is broke, or the filter.

The filter protrudes from the bottom of the pedal, and is darker at the top and gradually fades to clear at the bottom. If this breaks off, then there's nothing to limit the amount of light to the optical system.

If it is the light, then you'll have to have it serviced by someone qualified to work on it. Your local music shop should be able to help you out.

Hope that helps!

Hiwhat is the best way to connect my DigiTech RP10 to my Marshall MA100H Guitar Amplifier

Read your manuals for both pieces of gear carefully first. You only have one amp so you won't be able to take advantage of all the FX on the Digitech as a lot of them are designed for stereo. The Digitech manual shows guitar into the Digitech and output from the Digitech into input of any guitar amp. Since you have a Marshall and can already get some great sounds by running your guitar straight into the Marshalls input, you would probably be better off using your Digitech in the FX loop. Run a guitar cord out of the send on the loop into the input of the Digitech and a guitar cord out of the left / mono output jack on the Digitech into the effects return jack on the Marshall. Start out with the effects level on the Marshall all the way down. Do the same with the Digitech with both the input and output levels. (Read the manual carefully) I think the choice of the Digitech isn't that great because it is already trying to reproduce a lot of what you can already get with just your Marshall but with a little experimentation and some careful adjustments you should be able to add to the sound of the Marshall. Hope this helps.

It lights up but doesnt put out sound

A friend of mine had the exact same problem. In his case the pedal is only good for hammering nails now. If it still has it warranty I'd say look into that, if not you've got nothing to lose. Open it up, look for unattached wires. Also, try using a battery instead of an AC adapter..

Digitech RP3 Guitar signal processor only lights up.

Check that connectors are seated AND the input and output are correct.

Sometimes1/4 inch plugs are not seated correctely. The power adapter plugs are notorious for not making contact.

I removed the back cover, unscrewed the two (of 4) screws holding down the circuit board, replaced them again, and it worked fine.
