The zoom function & the focus does not work on my Sony 950TRV video camera. I was out in heavy snow when it stopped working properly. Is there anything that can be done to to fix it?

It may be that water got into the circuitry.Try soaking it in long-grain rice for a few hours. If this does not work, you could try taking it apart and drying out the insides yourself, but I do not reccomend this at all, as you could damage your equipment.

The autofocus is not working. I tried going to manual focus and this won't work either. Also when I try to zoom out it will only let me go about a qauter of the way then it stops, and won"t zoom out...

Was it recently dropped or bumped in any way? The focus and zoom motors are not activating or limiting. It could be misaligned or slipping gears. Listen for motor running as you press the appropriate function - such as manual focus or zoom. If you hear anything then the motor are running but not adjusting the lens - therefore the gear is loose and/or the motor is slipping. It must be taken apart to repair.

Hello ..my focus function has stopped working..

no new camera is required, you have just changed the settings and it can be modified if you just calmly go through the manual given to you by the manufacturer.

My Nikkor 70-300mm lens will not zoom

First thing: Don't try to zoom it at all anymore. The mechanism inside is broken or somehow disconnected, and you can make it worse by trying. Please take it in for repairs as a camera pro will need to look at it.

VTR mode controls are not working properly

Hi, You need to replace the switch block control whic has all you play and zoom functions. Or, you could use your remote control to do these functions instead.

T7 video

Hello The zoom does not work on the T7 while you video, you have to zoom first and then start to video, then it is fixed at that zoom setting. Other than that, the video is pretty good, I have taken video clips up to about 5mins (but in theory you can go up to the limit of the mem card and battery - battery from full is about 40 mins from the top of my head and my 512mb mem card could do about 30 mins on best quality) The sound is good, and the picture is pretty good, but obviously there is no 'flash' function, so you are looking at daytime or well lit video only. One thing is that you do need a steady hand, because the unit is so small (a great benefit most of the time) you do get a fair amount of camera shake if you do not have a very steady hand... usually the morning after the night before for me! :o) I have been pretty happy with it a a fun video accessory, but if you want the camera for that as a main use, I would look around. Tom, It's best to do the zoom first, then focus (if you are using the autofocus).
