My nintendo Wii says: "Error occured.

One, is the disc scratched?
Two, What Game?
Three, Try unplugging the power cord from the wall and Wii, and wait 10 minutes, and plug it back in. Should Work Like new.

Error message error occurred. press the eject button and remove the disc. turn the power off and follow the instructions in the console manual.

First turn the Wii console power OFF, and remove the AC adapter's AC plug from the power socket. Next, check wheather the disc is dirty or scratched. If it is dirty, gently wipe with a soft cloth from the center to the outside. Wait about 5 minutes. Then plug the AC adapter's AC plug back into the power socket and turn the console power on.

If the same message still appears, the Wii console may be damaged. Turn the Wii console off immediately. Remove the AC adapter's AC plus from the plug, and visit support.nintendo.com for additional troubleshooting or call 1-800-255-3700.

Hi,

This could be anything from a faulty DVD drive to just a dirty lens.

What is suggest you do is remove all cables from the Wii and leave it off for about 10 minutes. Instead of having the Wii vertical lay it on its side and connect all leads back to it and turn it on. When loading a game give the disk a gentle push to help it on its way.

I also recommend that you buy a lens cleaner to keep the lens clean.

If it doesn't work then you may need to give Nintendo a call.

Regards.

Turned unit on .error message.cannot read disc.tried wping disc. nothing follwed directions in manual.nthing treied to start over nothing on screen at all.

Hi, if this is occurring on a multiple video game, then it is likely that there is a problem with your wii console, perhaps either the disc drive is malfunctioning or there is a problem with it's optical lens not being able to read the disc....
So if it is more than just one video game you are having problem with, then give a call to Nintendo's 1-800-255-3700 (6 am - 7 pm Pacific, everyday) customer service number, or use their webform to contact them and they can set up the repair process for you..

Take care

clean the whole system not just the lens it probley is to dusty in the system. you can also try to remove the power source from the back of the system not the wall wait a min or 2 plug it back in turn it on with out the disc in it and go to the load screen where it says start put the disc in and click start. but i suggest you take it in for a cleaning at a small local game store they usuall dont charge if they dont have to do anything but dust it out. if that still fails then you most likly need a new cd drive.

Hello,
Have you tried unplugging the unit for about an hour then testing it again but in a different position? If that doesnot work it is most likely a laser failure and you will need to get it serviced.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
