This is most often caused by a simple power supply fault. The switchmode controller/power conditioning circuit, inside the printer usually fails.
This isn't a real big repair. to get the very best result, what you need to do, is contact an Olympus local or head office, ask them for a referral to an authorised service center. now when at the service center, here ask for a 'Quote" for the repair, FIRST, before allowing any repair work to commence.
