I have a lexmark e238. Keeps showing paper jam light after cleaning rollers even though no paper is in there.

Either paper is moving too slow through the paper path or one of your paper path sensors is not registering. Pull the paper tray out and check to make sure the little plastic sensor is swinging free. That sensor tells when the tray is empty. Follow the paper path thru the printer checking all the sensors to make sure they are "opening" and "closing".

Getting a constant "Paper Jam 071-100" error when printing from Tray 1 (no jam found).

You need to replace the paper pick up, feed rollers and separation sub-assebly.

When printing an envelope, the printer says "paper jam" when there is not. We remove the cartridge and toner, clear the message by hitting start and the same thing happens. We try turning the printer off...

Brother paper jam error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper.
  • To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer.
  • Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors.
  • If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

We had a paper jam, got the paper out but now it reads error 6A80, we turned the printer off but that has not solved our problem

fix it by moving the print cartridges to the far left, and on the far right there is a little white plastic tab that is spring loaded. i just puched this tab towards the front of the printer and realised it has jammed on me. after doing this i closed the lid and restarted the unit. worked straight away no more issues

Paper jam in output tray is displayed but i cannot solve

When it says that it usually means there is a paper scrap in the sensor flag that is under the long gray roller. It is a black plastic tab toward the right side behind the white plastic guides that the paper comes out under. You need a flashlight to see it and you need to be careful not to break the tab.

13.01.00 jam in tray 2

This is a paper mis-pick error. it may feed the paper just a little onto the roller on the cassette. This usually means the rollers are worn out. 2 of them to change, 1 on the cassette and one inside. They both have blue plastic cores.

Constantly getting paper jams

where the paper comes out there is a rubber roller that roller must be cleaned to get to that roller open the back cover then you will see the fuser cover that cover just drops down then you will see a white plastic remove that plastic by removing two screws at each side of the white plastic you do not have to open the rear part completely that white plastic sould come out if you wiggle it a bit you will have to take it out one side at a time then when that white plastic is removed you will see the rubber roller just clean that roller with benzine or alcohol. The machine gives you paperjams because that roller gets sticky over time.

Printer rollers came off in paper jam and i cant get them back on

After a week of frustration trying to get the blasted thing back in--I could get the roller piece back in but not with the wire and could get the wire back on the little knob that holds it but that would prevent the roller piece from going in, I cut a notch in the white plastic above the spring hole so that I could, with very small needle nose pliers, hold the straight part of the sprint up while I put the roller piece in place. I then let the spring down through the notch I cut. It took a couple of tries but it all was pretty easy once the notch was cut.

Getting a 290.01 error on lexmark x644e

This is fairly common issue. Usually this is just a problem with the pick rollers position on the enganging tab.
So open top cover where the feed rollers are. Follow the shaft of the pick rollers to the front of printer. You should see a CLAER tab somewhere. It is supposed to sit on TOP of the WHITE engaging tab but more than likely is under it. Take something small & flat like a key or small flat head screw driver. PUSH the WHITE tab down which will aloow the CLEAR tab of the pick rollers to move up into the correct position. Close the cover. You should NOT have to power cycle the unit.
The cause for this is usually someone either over stacking paper or leaving a staple on the paper.
