I just purchased a toshiba mini notebook NB 505 it has about 5 hrs. of time on it. Went to turn it on the other night and when it starts up the screen was lite up but nothing else. I can not shut down properly unless I push the power buttom. Please advise!

It happens when the NB was not properly shutdown, NB was turned off due to battery drained and left idle or worst there is a problem with the mother board. You may try this; Turn OFF the laptop, remove the power sources (ac adapter and battery). Without power sources, hold power button 10 secs. Put back the power sources, and power ON the NB. If the laptop will not boot by doing this, take it back from the reseller for replacement.

Button do I push on my Toshiba NB 505 to hook up to an external monitor


Normally fn as in function and f4 - or If not I'm close look for the button with a picture of 2 monitors on it on the keyboard it's normally fn and that key or shift and that key pressed at same time. 3 modes computer screen only, computer screen and aux or just aux. hope that helps.

Restore Toshiba to Out of the Box Condition
If your model Toshiba laptop has a Restore partition on thehard drive then follow these steps to restore your Toshiba to the Out of theBox condition.
1. Press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power buttononce to switch on
your notebook.
2. When the machine Starts beeping; release the 0 key.
3. When prompted by the warning screen; select Yes to continue with the systemrecovery.
4. Select Recovery of Factory Default Software; click Next.
5. Select Recover to out-of-box state. 6. Click Next again.
7. Click Next to Start recovery.
8. Restart the Toshiba laptop when there restoration process finishes running.Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to set up the laptop's date, timeand language settings.

How to start a medion notebook for first time


Don't try to start your notebook unless you have charged it for a minimum of 6 hrs 12 hrs is recommended. After charging press power button on the top right side above the keyboard for few seconds. It will switch on if the operating system is preinstalled.

I have purchased 3 new lamps. one lasted 900 hrs.


Your lamp is rated for 3000 hours. Is the fan working to cool the lamp? When you turn off the projector do you allow the fan to continue to run? If not the lamp is not cooling evenly and the lamp will fail. Th filters should be cleaned regularly and the vents be unobstructed.
