Hiya
maybe a blockage in the pressure switch pipe, this would tell your machine that there is enough water in and so goes into the wash cylce without actually filling. removing the pipe from the pressure switch end you should be able to blow down it and free any blockages.
REMEMBER TO UNPLUG FIRST

hope this helps

I have a GE Adora top-load washing machine. The washer fills up and overflows with water on all settings. Any ideas why?

  • You could have a bad level sensor or a pinched/severed/unattached vacuum hose which goes to the sensor device. The washer cannot determine how much water the tub is filling so the water keeps going in. I would check that the vacuum hose is simply not connected and that would be the easiest fix. The sensor device is usually located inside the control panel area and you can start there.

when it stops filling
you fill it with a jug of water to the right level
then see what happens
if it goes past rinse
have a look at the water valve it needs to be changed

Washer stops early cycle. In the first minute or two while it is filling with water it stops. If it gets past that stage it works fine.

gud day,,your washer has a little problem you must only adjust the washer timer,,you can fixed it by your self by opening the time at the back..tnx

Washer won't wash

Hi!
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

GE WJSR1070A top loader wont aggitate.

You either have a bad timer, transmission, or the agitator is stripped on the splined shaft

Washer doesnt fill water but goes thru all cycles

After contemplating the issue, I decided that the machine "thought" it had filled. That led me to believe that the water level control was not working. I happened to have a control from an old washer that I could make fit. After replacing this control, I'm back in business. Everything is working fine although I now have only 3 water levels to chose from where I previously had 5. I hope this helps. Good luck. Mark

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Quiet Wash - Wash Cycle not holding water

Since your washer worked fine while in Germany and now is exhibiting this problem at your new home, you may want to double check how it was installed. I suspect you may have a problem known as "siphoning". The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning

This could be a simple situation where the drain line on the washer is not installed correctly. There are minimum height and length requirments on the drain line. In addition, make sure the stand pipe you have the drain hose inserted in has a proper air gap to allow draining. All of this is explained in the link provided.

I hope this information is helpful to you. The majority of the situations arise from improper installation and is not an operaitonal problem with the washer. If, however, you double check everything and still have problems, please post back and let me know.
