Hello...thanks for this response. Is this something I can attempt to do or do I need an engineer?

If so can you let me know how or direct me to an online manual?

    Many thanks

Hiya
i take it this is a condensor dryer, the most likely cause of this will be the float in the recirculation pump (takes he water from the condensor unit to the bottle) sometimes these just stick and once freed they work ok, other times they will need replaced.

hope this helps

please dont forget to rate the helpfulness of this reply, thanks kj

    hiya

yeah this is something you can do yourself, all you need to do is remove the back or side panels (sorry cant remember which on this model) and its usually right in front of you, you can also follow the recirculation pipe from the back of the condensor down to the pump.

    hope this helps

It says the water needs emptying but it is empty

After reading about various dryer problems / solutions it seems others have had this same problem. It could be that a smaller resevoir which houses the sensor connected to the water collector is full and it's valve may be blocked with lint. It can be solved by getting to the valve and removing the lint. You may need to remove the valve itself. Hope that helps. Good luck.

After drying a load of rather damp clothes, the 'emty out container' light keeps coming on (there is a loud peeping noise and the dryer stops) even though the container is empty. The container is not...

Empty water resevoir light keeps coming on

Hi Lisa,
Sorry, this isn't a solution! I've been investigating my wife's dryer which is the same model with the same fault exactly, by symptoms. An electrician friend has also taken the back off and suspects that the heater element has burnt out, but I don't see how that links to the fault as originally seen. Did you find an answer by other means or did you have to replace the unit - in which case did you manage to find a suitable model? Ours needss to take the kitchen cabinet door fittings, but I'm told John Lewis aren't doing this model any more.

The empty water wanrning light will not go out. I

there is a float switch at the pump that has become stuck, and when this happens, the "empty water" light will stay on and the machine will operate but with no heat. just locate the floating switch and give it a light tap back into its place, this will solve your problem.

Water light on dryer

hey cadoras,

you might want to check the sensor for the water inside the dryer. you say that even if you already put water in it, the light is still on correct? which means that the dryer does not detect or sense that water is already there. so please check if the sensor is working and if not, replace the sensor.

Water empty light wont go out

the black wire that was moving water from down condenser to up - water container - remove it. Use cotton swabs to "clean" the holes, do a run of the dryer without that black wire connected ( carefull, cause some wated might spill at this point), reattach black wire, and enjoy :)

It worked for me anyway. ( fingers crossed, its been on for 20 mins and still no red lights flashing)
