Be sure to check all of your cables and make sure they didn't get knocked loose.
Provide other details. Are you using an HDTV? Did you move the Xbox 360?

It is something to do with the PAL settings on the console. If the console is set to PAL50 then all is cover but the games do not work as they need PAL60. When you set to PAL60 the games are all Black and White!! This has all been working fine so it appears to be a problem with the Xbox itself?

My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

Sounds like a problem with the video output signal, or a change in the video settings on the device, go to your XBox configuration and make sure the video is set to NTSC.

Wired xbox 360 controller's constantly 'disconnect'

It sounds like it needs replaceing. Sometimes Radio shack has the wireless Xbox360 controllers on sale for 40$ and Gamestop sells used ones for around the same price. Also wireless is much better.

Wireless controllers for xbox 360 disconnect at random times

It sounds like there is a probem with the RF Board (google search it). Problems occur with this from time to time when a sytem is disassembled and reassembled.

Xbox 360 wireless contoller won't sync with game console

If you're using an HDMI connection between the Xbox 360 and the TV, it might be that. When using HDMI, the Xbox won't boot up until it knows what the TV is capable of displaying. Although the controller will turn the console on, it won't sync with the console -- and it's not a controller or console problem, but just a symptom of the fact that the Xbox won't get to the point where controllers will sync until it can properly communicate with the TV. I'd recommend turning off the TV and the Xbox, disconnecting the HDMI cable and re-connecting it after making sure the contacts are clean. Then turn the Xbox back on first; you'll likely to see the same behavior. Finally, turn the TV back on. With it being switched back into HDMI mode, it just might "kick-start" the Xbox into a good communication link across HDMI. Hope that helps.

Wireless xbox 360 controller

Hey Pete,

Xbox 360 controllers do not have that problem very often and you know what happens to me sometimes. I change the batteries and the controller still doesn't turn on. Turns out the batteries that i replaced had no juice on it. Make sure you are using the right kind of batteries too meaning don't cheap out and use the ones you get at 99c stores or anything like that. Those will work by the way they will not last more two days. Buy new batteries.
