Try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f this should schedule to happen on reboot which will scan for and attempt to recover bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive
click startcontrol panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer
then you should test or replace all leads make sure they are securely seated and are not bad/faulty that are attached to your (((motherboard to your hard drive)))
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Plz reply me.... I have a Novatium Minilaptop installed Ubuntu. But I want to installed window7 in it. I could not open BIOS setting. How can i get BIOS setting....and install window7 here.... Regards,...

To do this, first, you must determine your boot media. CD or USB. Either way, you can set this in the bios.

To get to the bios, once you press the power button, the default keys for many computers are either Delete or one of the Function Keys (F1 to F12).

So simply turn the computer on and keep pressing Delete, (Do not hold down the key), and if the computer continues to boot, you turn off the computer and start from F1 and do the same thing until one of them takes you to the bios.

I have a p5gcmx problem, displays black after installing the window7 os

ASUS P5GC-MX - O/S Compatibility - Link
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Windows 2000

Options you can try.
1. Can you boot the OS Win 7 in "Safe-Mode"?
If you can boot your system into safe-mode, then your monitor cannot handle a "higher graphic resolution" which will result a black screen. You can try using a better montor with resolution "1280x720".

Hope it helps, & Good luck.

How can i install xp or window7 on my compaq presario cq40-601tu

For installing any operating system xp or windows 7,you need cd of windows xp or 7
First go to bios by restarting your computer and press F12 and then under advanced boot priority change the first boot option to cd
and then press F10 to save changes and restart
It will ask you to boot from cd,press enter and installation will start

FixYa does not support cracked software, first of all because it's illegal, second of all because cracked software is the most common cause of system crashes.
