The return spring inside the ignitor has either slipped or broken. Either way, it's easier and inexpensive to just replace the Ignitor Switch. You can purchase a universal one at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grill parts. Lowe's & Home Depot comes to mind.

The switch spring will go out often in the push button types. it is two wires you will have to disconnect and reconnect when you buy a new one like such --> ( http://www.csgrills.com/Common/Product/CatProduct.aspx?ID=186243&Src=GoogleBase&SrcID=2248467 )

Is the red reset button on a garbage disposal supposed to stay 'pushed' after pressing it?

Yes. It's a circuit breaker that only pops out when it has tripped. If it won't stay in, then the problem that made it pop out is still present. This could be due to overheating (in which case it won't stay in until it cools down) or a short circuit (in which case it won't stay in until the short circuit has been removed). Wait 30 minutes (to give it plenty of time to cool down) and try again. If it still won't stay in, you have problem. By the way, if the unit is jammed, the breaker pops out because the unit quickly overheats. Good luck, Al K

I can't keep the flow of gas coming from the tank to the burner going. The red "switch" won't stay up to keep the gas flowing. I can push it up and gas flows but when I let go - it pops back down cutting...

No. You are probably having a thermal safety switch failure. It measures the heat from the flame, and when its hot enough, it tells the gas valve to stay open. It's a safety feature to turn off the gas if the flame blows out, keeps things from going boom. Can't find a parts diagram to verify part numbers, or a manual to be certain. Typically, the red switch is to be held up til the flame is going, after lighting the flame, then released once flame is lit, 5-10 seconds is usually enough.

The dash and interior lights dont come on, I have no manual

There is a round knob to the left of the steering wheel. This is a light switch. If it's turned to the left, the lights stay off. In the middle, the lights come on when the door is opened or the key is removed. To the right, it will turn the lights on anytime. By default, it should be in the middle (automatic) position. At the center of this switch is another knob that will pop-out if you push it. By turning the knob that pops out, it will change the intensity of your dash lights. Try popping the knob out and turning it all the way to the right. Then push it back in so nobody messes with it. Then make sure the light switch stays in the middle position. Hope this helps.

Downdraft vent won't stay down. Push the button and it retracts normally, then pops right back up?

check your bottom limit switch - i'm guessing its bad. the unit doesn't stop operating til it trips a (working) limit switch, if the switch is bad it'll cyle right past it and go back up until it hits the top limit switch (again).
