You can back your data onto your computer laptop ect via usb connection. Or store all important data onto a memory card (if phone supports memory card)
You can also create a back up from your memory settings in youre phone, but im unsure if that data will be lost when restoring factory settings.

Safest way is via usb to computer or memory card

Hope this helps and please rate thanks

You can try to hard reset phone by entering *#7370# and you will need to select yes for restoring to factory defaults. Remember that it will delete the settings and data saved in the phone not on the memory card but it will still be advisable for you to have a back up of everything before doing so.

How to format nokia xpress music????? pls help me....

Soft Reset The reset will restore all the phone's settings to factory default and delete all user info. You need to use the dialer to enter this code.

*#7370#
Hard Reset Hard reset only works if you had previously updated the phone to v20. Please make backup before applying this type of reset, since it will restore the phone's settings as well as erasing all the data in the phone memory, including take off your memory card.

  1. Switch off the phone.
  2. Press GREEN + RED + CAMERA + ON simultaneously until you see the "Select Country" option.
Note:
  1. The default password is 12345. You need to press and hold the key until the number appear.
  2. Please do not confuse "revert to factory settings" with soft reset. "Revert to factory settings" can be achieved from Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings or *#7870# code, and will only restore the phone to its factory setting without deleting data.

Nokia 5800 xpress music, i got it off a friend and its blocked evrything works except sms and calls keeps saying connection error, phone only works in offline mode, how can i make it work again?

try a soft reset this will unblock it and set it back to factory without deleting your data .

Soft Reset will clear pending errors and bring your mobile to an initial state by restoring Factory setting. To operate this function on your mobile, the shortcut is: *#7380#

This function apparently works on almost all nokia mobile phones.
