Sounds to me like the cables aren't hooked up correctly. They are component cables, there should be 5 of them. one set of red and white for audio, and blue, red and green for the video. Perhaps you have the 2 reds confused. is your audio also not in stereo? try switching the red cables.

I,ve connected my wii to the led tv using a wiii component cable(5 leads) but have used only 3 of them red green & blue 1,s leaving a red & white 1 left i have good picture but no sound help please

your cable is split into two different connections for your tv... the red green and blue cables are for HD only. They are their own little set. the yellow cable is your video cable for normal tv's. the red and white cables are sound cables, also for normal tv's. I would unplug the red, green, and blue cables, and use the yellow, red (right sound), and white (left sound).

Good luck!

Having trouble with the colors on my WIi, everything seems yellow and there is no red anywhere

I just wanted to add that I recently bought a WII and I have the exact same problem. I have a Samsung HD TV and I bought the additional HD cable that has the multiple jacks (i.e. green, blue etc.) I will post if I find a specific answer to the probem.

I have a Samsung and just hooked up a Wii and am getting only black and white on the screen. How do I troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Your TV is probably an HDTV. Change the settings of your Wii to HD and it should have color. If you don't want to do that, make sure your RCA cables are pluged into the non-HD RCA slots on your TV and that the yellow cable goes to the yellow non-HD slot and not the green HD one.

The wires from the wii to hook into my samsung t.v. do not match is there an alternative wire configuration that I might be able to obtain?

The cables that come with the Wii are composite video cables with the standard red, yellow and white cables. You might be trying to plug them into the component video input, which has red, blue, and green.

Check your TV to see if you have any red, yellow, white inputs. Use that input if you are using the cables that same with the console.

Alternatively, you can buy component video cables for the Wii. This will be for the red, blue and green input. This will provide you with higher definition (480p vs. 480i) and a slightly sharper picture.

Good luck.

on your tv, there should be color coded ports that tell you which cords go where but im almost 100% sure that the red and white cords are for sound and the blue and green cables are for hd video hookups.
