Question about HP Officejet 5615 Drucker/Scanner/Kopierer/Fax All-In-One InkJet Printer

My HP Officejet 5615 All-in -One shows "Papierstau" (paper jam) though there is no sheet or piece of paper in it.It then also sometimes shows first "aligning cartriges" and then "paper jam" and then "Alignment stopped".I followed all the HP instructions I could find in the internet, but without success.Could the cartriges be responsible for "paper jam" and or "alignment stopped", for example if they have not enough ink?Is it possible that a sensor is dirty. Where are such sensors?Thank You for your assistance

Unplug your printer. Then wait 40 seconds and plug it back in. Check if you have enough ink in your cartridges.
If all else fails replace ink cartridges.
They make paper that has alcohol on them and you can run it through your printer to clean those sensors. Just hit Cltrl and P at the same time.

This can be related to the sensors and can be really hard to fix. It may not be worth the time and effort necessary on a $100 inkjet.

Call HP and send it back. They'll run you through their hoops to make sure there really is a problem. (There is, it's a known problem with this printer). They'll send you a new printer and pay for the shipping to send back the broken one.

Don't wait too long.

If possible, save yourself a lot of grief and take the printer back and get a refund. This problem will continue to plague you at some point. It's a problem with the printer itself not in how you use it.

Their software often gets corrupted on your computer and requires reinstalls, you'll have problems with the updates, faxes may or may not go through -- I had mine for a year and trust me it's just better to get a refund and try another computer.

This time, I'm searching Fixya and other sites for known problems before investing a few hundred for a printer.

Unfortunately for me, mine didn't show up until after my warranty expired. (A week after).

Paper mismatch officejet 6500 crumples


There could be a foreign object or torn piece of paper that's stuck further inside the printer mechanism path. Try using a flashlight and inspecting any access or clean out hatches. Sometimes something will be caught inside and cause the paper you feed in to crumple and create a jam. I watched a video on youtube giving different ideas on how to fix this problem. There is definitely a paper jam. It's up to you to find it. Sometimes it's a very small piece of paper. I have worked with these printers before. If it says paper jam, that means there is a paper jam. Look a little bit more closely. I garranty you 100% there is a paperjam.

Hi, my HP 4580 says there is a paper jam, but there doesn't seem to be one! Help???!!!


Sometimes the paper jam is caused by a tiny piece of paper. It can be smaller than a postage stamp, covering the paper sensor. Or it could just need cleaning. Look for very small piece of paper or look on edge of paper guide for small lamp sensor

Paper jam every time


Most of the time it is a small piece of paper still jammed in the paper path did the sheet that jammed originally come out in one piece or was there a piece missing? Do you have a nice feeder roller there if so it should not be smooth it should be a orange peel texture there’s a lot more to look for where doe's it jamb in when it first feeds into the printer or when it exits the printer I guess you would have to apply additional info check out some of these things!

Error Message - Paper Jam


I had a paper jam. I removed the offending sheet of paper which unfortunately tore into 4 pieces as it came out. Upon piecing the sheet of paper back together - there is a small piece missing. I've checked the printer thoroughly - nothing can be found!

Paper jam in auto feeder


Well you should be able to pull out the whole sheet of paper. If the jammed paper has a piece missing, then you did not clear the jam completely and will have to in ther and retrive the torn piece of paper.
The source of the jam can be a worn p/u roller or an obstruction in the paper path.

I have a HP OfficeJet 6210 all-in-one printer...whenever I make a copy by inserting sheet into feeder a long black line appears on the page. It is as if there were a long black line on the original. This...


I have the same printer and have the same problem. I found out though that sometimes this works: when you make a copy, select the best quality option. Again this only works sometimes.
