Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

How can I get a copy of the manufacturer's installation instructions for a Hotpoint JX-81J over the range microwave oven?

JX-81J is the microwave recirculating charcoal filter for several models of GE and Hotpoint microwaves. The installation instructions will be available from the manufacturer with the model number of the microwave itself.

One microwave that uses this filter is the RVM1535MMSA . See http://products.geappliances.com/ApplProducts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=HPSPECPAGE&Sku=RVM1535MMSA#tab1_ for all of the details on this microwave. The owner's manual, http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=39-40541-1.pdf , shows the installation of the filter on page 34. The guide for installing the microwave above the range is http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=39-40425.pdf .

If you have a different microwave, add a comment with that model number. I hope this helps.

What and where is the Magnetron TCO located? Where is the Magnetron located? Where can I find a sketch or drawing to work on these items

Kerry,
If your microwave is over 5-7 years old or nearing that, you might want to consider replacing it. Magnetrons can get very expensive and in some cases, some parts dealers will not sell one unless you are an authorized service tech. I am not sure exactly what you mean by the TCO, so not real sure that I can help you with that. Anytime you work on the inside of a microwave, you MUST be very careful because there are parts that create lethal voltage when running and you should only work on it if you know what you are doing. The magnetron, by the way is a square silver/gray box that will be mounted above the high-voltage transformer. That transformer usually will produce over 1000 volts of electricity when energized. Hope this helps!

Why is my GE mircowave starting by its self ?You do not even have to in the same room and it just starts running.

The touch pad could be giong bad and closing the contact by itself. A new touch pad should fix this.

HOTPOINT COUNTERSAVER PLUS RVM 1435 DISPLAY READS F3

"F3" on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On RVM1435-series microwaves, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (RVM1435XX###) from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Microwave runs but won't heat

hello there
here are some things to look for
If the power is on, but it does not work check to make sure the door closes and aligns properly. Microwave door switches have metal terminals on the end that make contact with the door hook or latch. This completes the circuit which allows the microwave oven to run and without this contact the microwave will not operate. A simple misalignment might be breaking the circuit causing the microwave not to operate. If you suspect that the thermal fuse has blown, call a professional appliance repair person. Even an unplugged microwave oven can kill or seriously injure someone. This is because there is a high energy capacitor inside the microwave oven case. If it is not discharged properly, you could be electrocuted.
If your microwave buzzes or hums but does not produce any heat, it could be a faulty defective diode, triode, high-voltage capacitor, or even a faulty magnetron. However, this problem usually means a bad means a bad magnetron, followed by a bad diode. Call a professional appliance repair person for assistance.

Hi I have elcetric hotpoint oven. I did sef-cleaning and after that I am not able to unlocked the oven. What should I do?

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

You can download GE./ Hotpoint owner's manuals and installation instructions here.
