Hello!

The first thing to do to correct a carriage jam is to unplug the printer from the power source and the pc too.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to release power stored.

Open the top cover to view the cartridges & current position of the carriage. Remove the ink catridges and set them a side.

Remove anything that you view which should not be inside the printer.

Grab the carriage and slowly move it to the right and left. If it does not move freely on its own, then stop and take your printer to a repairman.

move the carriage all the way to the right and then left to make sure that it has full motion.

Replace the cartridges, close the cover, connect it to the power and pc again and then turn on the printer and try a test page.

This should solve your problem.

Are we talking a paper jam originally?

Switch Off.

Access carriage area, gently but firmly hold printer carriage and firmly pull to the left about halfway.

With a CSI Torch, check area for an inkie covered piece paper. If that's the problem?
