You can always get the motherboard's software by visiting the website of the motherboard manufacturer, if you dont know the exact model name for the motherboard you can refer to the product manual of the motherboard or try to locate it on the motherboard itself , just note it down and download it from the website. Also you can try to install generic drivers if you know the name of the audio and video chipsets on the motherboard. Hope this solves the problem.
What kind of firewall-software, antivirus-software or internetsecurity-software do you have installed right now?
It could be a problem between software that protects your computer/notebook and has already some kind of firewall build-in..
Due to software licensing, with microsoft if you loss your code your out on a whim. You may be able to pick up a cheap copy off of ebay.
Take a look at ubuntu operating system www.ubuntu.com, it free and open source and as good if not better than XP.
down site is that you are not able to run windows software on it, but once you install it you will have full access to over 2000 free applications which can easily replace any microsoft software you where running
I had a friend who had a copy of xp, said the same thing. You have a copy of xp that has been registered with microsoft already. time to buy a copy. never good to get pirated copies of any software, esp operating systems.
you should have the porduct key on the side of the computer if it is a desktop ot on the botton of the laptop.
Win95,98 ME yes, you can see it in the registry.
Windows Xp and up, you need some kind of software to decode the number in the registry.
it calls magic jellybeam keyfinder. this will ge the ket and decode it. how you going to get it on the machine is another story.
you may be able to use the software by hitting F8 just before the Windows logon come on, select safe mode and go from there.
I believe that kind of question isn't allowed. We can not offer you/give you a legitimate Windows XP Home Edition Serial Key. The reason is simple, it's illegal. There are plenty of websites that store serial keys but the thing is, those are probably already blacklisted and do not allow you to update your computer. Which off course is a big security risk.
There are alternatives though to get Windows XP pretty cheap. 1. Buy a new PC with XP. Usually you'll get an OEM license. 2. If you are still a student, maybe your school has some interesting offers for it's students. 3. Use a serial key from an older PC. Install XP using the software disc you have and if it cannot activite because of the hardware being to different from the PC Windows was activated on you'll need to call Microsoft (phone number is on the Activation Utility)
