You cannot use other encryption software to decrypt it as all the encryption softwares use different encryption algorithm.i.e. different steps to encode a file.

to decrypt the file you need that very encryption software that you used earlier.
no other option available.

How to Recover Data From a Disk Encrypted by Bitlocker. Data Recovery.

Today we will describe the procedure of data recovery from a damaged disk encrypted by Bitlocker. Such problem may emerge as a result of damage to the file system of an encrypted disk (for example, damage to the area of the hard disk, where BitLocker stores important data, that happens due to unexpected system shutdown), inability to load OS or BitLocker recovery console, and other similar errors that prevent normal opening of the encrypted disk. The described problems may affect both system disk, portable external drive or USB drive.

In order to recover data we will use the utility Repair-bde (BitLocker Repair Tool), a command prompt utility which appeared back in Windows 7 / 2008 R2. This utility is used for access and recovery of encrypted data in a damaged disk encrypted by BitLocker.
Warning. This procedure should be applied after all the others have failed, and it was impossible to unlock the encrypted disk in a standard way by using a Bitlocker password or recovery key.

Requirements for data recovery from a BitLocker volume

To recover data from a disk encrypted by BitLocker you need to have at least one of the following Bitlocker defense elements:
  • BitLocker recovery password;
  • Recovery key;
  • System startup key (Startup key - .bek).
Data will be recovered to a separate disk the size of which should be no less than the size of the damaged disk. In the course of recovery, all contents of this disk will be deleted and replaced by decrypted data from the Bitlocker volume.
In our example, disk E: (size 2 Gb) is a USB drive the contents of which are encrypted by BitLocker, and which cannot be opened for some reason. To recover data, we have installed an additional external disk F: (size 16 Gb).

Method 1. Data recovery with the use of a BitLocker password

In the first place, try recovering data with this method (it will work with Windows 8 / 2012 and newer versions):
  • Launch command prompt as administrator.
  • Execute the command:
    repair-bde E: F: -pw -Force
where E: - disk with Bitlocker data, F: - disk where decrypted data should be extracted.
  • In the course of executing the command you will have to specify BitLocker password (the same which a user is to enter into UI when trying to access an encrypted volume).

Method 2. Decryption of a Bitlocker volume with a recovery key

For decryption of data located in a damaged volume which is encrypted with Bitlocker we will need a recovery key or a system startup key (if the system partition is encrypted).
Advice. BitLockerRecoveryKey is a unique sequence of 48 symbols. The recovery key is generated when a Bitlocker volume is created; it can be printed, saved as a text file to a local (this choice is not recommended) or external disk, or in a user account at Microsoft website.

http://www.fixya.comwrite_tip-wyytcj10vubwvpdmj0eoj2yx-1-0.png

Now let us launch data recovery with the help of this key:
repair-bde E: F: -rp 011407-712393-682121-100210-377003-405174-520014-328130 -Force
If Bitlocker is used for encryption of the system partition containing Windows, and for loading the system a special startup key on a USB drive is used, the encrypted volume can be decrypted as follows:
repair-bde E: F: -rk I:\3F558473-943D-4330-8449-62C36BA53345.BEK -Force
where file 3F558473-943D-4330-8449-62C36BA53345.BEK is a key to launch BitLocker disk encryption on a USB drive G: (by default, this file is hidden).
After the procedure of data recovery and decryption, before opening the disk where the contents of the Bitlocker volume were extracted, it is necessary to run its check. In order to do it, execute the following command and wait until it is complete:
Chkdsk F: /f
Important note. If you failed to recover data from an encrypted disk with the described methods, it is worth trying to create a sector-by-sector copy of the damaged disk with the help of a Linux utility DDRescue (or any other similar utility). After that, try recovering data from the received copy by the following scenario.

Data Recovery Software

We also should notice that exist more common and simpler way to recover files from Bitlocker encrypted storage. These are data recovery software. Of course, not all programs ?an cope in such situation but some of them have required function.
The only thing is that you must have a password to unlock the device which was specified when encrypt.
Then it's simple. Connecting device with the information that you want to recover to your computer and getting message.
Further, enter password in a special window after double-clicking on the device you need to recover in "This PC".
After that, the storage becomes fully accessible for data recovery for any of the Hetman Software programs.

all the encryption softwares use different encryption algorithm.i.e. different steps to encode a file.
the other software shows that the file was not encrypted because for this software, you previously encrypted file is an original file and not encrypted file.
to decrypt the file you need that very encryption software that you used earlier.

What is a wep key?

In Shared Key authentication, the WEP key is used for authentication. A four-way challenge-response handshake is used:
  1. The client station sends an authentication request to the Access Point.
  2. The Access Point sends back a clear-text challenge.
  3. The client has to encrypt the challenge text using the configured WEP key, and send it back in another authentication request.
  4. The Access Point decrypts the material, and compares it with the clear-text it had sent. Depending on the success of this comparison, the Access Point sends back a positive or negative response.

SAM file Vulnerability in Microsoft Windows OS !

I’m introducing this tip to explain to you the dangerous vulnerability in windows (2000 ,XP, Vista and WIN7 ) Local users accounts .
The important question here is: am I safe when using windows user account with a strong password ?
Does this password prevents other people see or access my own and very private files?
The answer is definitely NO !!!
Because of SAM file Vulnerability that microsoft insists to use in every OS version starting with windows 2000 till now.
The local accounts you create in windows are stored in SAM file that exists in the following path “C:Windows\System32\config” .

The good news is that the file is encrypted but the bad news is that there is a lot of third party tools that can clear any password stored in that file Offline (via booting from a boot disk or CD or USB drive that contains the crack tool ) , and if anyone managed to apply such software on your pc that means that he is able to login with a blank password . but wait a second the victim can easily discover that someone missed up the his or her password (this is good but too late ) because the attacker has got what he wanted.

Some clever Hackers uses another technique which is : copying your original SAM file to some safe place , then apply one of the third party tools, then reboot and enjoys accessing your files eventually he restore your original SAM file (which contains your Non-blank password) by overwriting the cracked SAM . this way you won’t even feel any change to your VERY SECURE PASSWORD !!!!.

Putting all in a nutshell , nothing is 100% secure , i suggest to take these these best practices in to your concedratin :

- Use Bios Password instead of windows password specially with laptops(in laptops Bios password can not be cracked or cleared by Jumper )
- Never leave your confidential data on the same hard disk drive of your pc , it is better to save them to external hard drives or USB sticks or DVD.
-Convert Fat32 drives to NTFS and Use Encrypting File System (EFS) feature to store files in an encrypted format on your hard disk.
-Some laptops has a hardware encryption chip that can encrypt data on hard disk drive.
-windows vista and 7 (Ultimate and Business Edition) has a new hard disk encryption feature called BitLocker that prevents a thief who boots another operating system or runs a software hacking tool from breaking Windows files .

The end

Downloaded pics from blackberry using USB

What has happened is you had the Encryption mode turned on. You need to click on Options-Media Card- and turn encryption off then go into Options-Security Options-and disable content protection. After that follow this guide below to fix the other ones.
  1. Turn off future encryptions
    • Go to Options -> Media Card
    • Set Encrypt Media Files to No
    • Note: Despite what people say, you do not have to set Encryption Mode to None - this has nothing to do with your encrypted media files
  2. Move the encrypted files in order to decrypt them
    • Go to Media
    • Press the Menu key
    • Select Explore
    • Navigate to the directory containing your encrypted files
    • Create a temporary folder
    • Move the encrypted files into the temporary folder
    • Note: If you have media files in other directories that need to be decrypted, don't put them in this temporary folder. Instead, create a separate temporary folder in that directory and repeat these steps. This way, you can remember the files' original location
    • For impatient people (like me) or people with way too many encrypted files: To quickly decrypt files:
      • Move one file into the temporary folder using any method (this lets the BB remember the temporary folder as the folder you will be moving future files into)
      • Scroll to the next file
      • Press the Menu key
      • Press the M key (this highlights Move)
      • Click the trackball
      • Press the Menu key
      • Press the M key (this highlights Move here)
      • Click the trackball
      • Rinse & repeat
  3. Clean up
    • Technically, you could use the BB interface to clean up, but if you have way too many files, you'll want to use the Mass Storage Mode - this is more efficient, allows you to navigate the directories quickly, and allows your files to move to their original directories quickly
    • Use the USB cord to connect your BB to a computer and enable Mass Storage Mode
    • Navigate to the temporary folders
    • Move the containing files to their original directories
    • Delete the temporary folders

When scanning, the scanned page is not readable from a third of the page down to two thirds of the page.

It is important that the item you scan comes in close contact with the scanner glass. If the resulting scanned image is not clear, check to see that the item is in full contact with the scanner glass. The scanner uses optical character recognition (OCR) to convert text on a page to text that you can edit on your computer.
  • If you scan text but cannot edit it, make sure that you make the following selections during scanning:
  • Scanned text might not appear on your computer exactly as it appeared on the original, especially if the original contains faint or smudged text. For example, some characters might be incorrect or missing. As you edit the text, compare the scanned text against the original, and then make corrections as necessary.
  • To change text scanning options, click the Scan Document Settings button in the initial What are you scanning? screen.
  • The OCR software is installed by default when you install the HP Scanning software during scanner setup. If you use the Custom option when installing the software, you can choose not to install the OCR software. Try reinstalling the software using the default install options.
  • Email to jdiaz@coretec.us
  • If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
    Thanks, Joe
