Power went out. now is restored. However trying to use the dryer the panel lights and allows me to choose temp and time dry however the start button flashes and won't let me start the dry cycle. Does the dryer need to be reset? how do i do that? I have unplugged it and replugged it. What impact would a power outage or restoration have on the dryer?

Disconnect power or turn breaker off for about 5 minutes. This may reset the unit. Otherwise you have an eror showing and need to retrieve the error code. Google your make and model followed by error codes a d you should get a link to retrieve the codes.

Motor

Flashing light is reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your dishwasher press these buttons in sequence:

The reset on your dishwasher is as follows, ( I can't locate your particular model number...but its madw be whirlpool so there are only a couple of possible sequences ) however depending on the error which caused the reason for wanting to reset it, it may be futile and the error will return. Depending on what was done trying to service the unit. On the control panel push these buttons in a back and forth sequence within 3-5 seconds. With the unit in the "off" status ( no lights on ) Hi temp scrub - energy save dry ( air dry ) Hi temp scrub - energy save dry Hi temp scrub - energy save dry Close the door if not already closed, all the "leds" should light and it will advance through an abbreviated test cycle. Allow it to complete and you should be good to go. There is also an extended service diagnostic which can entered that requires approx. 20 mins. to complete. Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

The cleam light blinking means that the unit was not able to reach a proper heated wash cycle. Either your heating element failed orthe actual sump/pump motor system has failed. Check the element in the botton and see if it looks broken anywhere. If you can see a broken spot, you will k now that is the trouble.
