Sadly, it sounds as though your Xbox 360 is approaching the end of it's life. The red ring of death. Most likely, the GPU is the issue. This is a fairly common problem, and if your console is still under warranty Microsoft will repair the problem. I would recommend contacting Microsoft technical support.

Try to install the games on the HDD, that way it will load it on the hard disk. it may be that the lens of your drive is getting burnt out.

Xbox 360 pixelated and vertical lines

Hi, this is the first step in getting the RROD. What will happen next is you will lose your video all together. The only way to fix this is by doing the X-Clamp replacement on your system. Your GPU is getting too hot and causing your X-clamps to warp, lifting your heatsink off of your GPU. This is what causes your pixelating on your T.V. the GPU is getting too hot. Replace your X-clamps and it will be back to normal. If you don't want to do it yourself then, take it to a repair shop, it isn't too overly expensive to have done.

Sounds like a problem with the 360's graphics chip. You might want to phone microsoft support or take it to a 360 repairer.

Black pixels on my Tv when I play Xbox 360.

It may be your cables, if you are using HDMI cables a low signal from the cables causes screen "garbage". Try using a different set of cables. I got my HDMI cable off amazon.com for 5$ so they're not that expensive just read the customer reviews before ordering them.

You might be getting ready to experience and E74 error or the RROD. I had 3 that did the same thing. The whine is the fans running 100% and then just turning off

Its your Video Graphics Chip on your XBOX.. Send it in for repair, or look online on how to reflow this to get it back working.

That's the problem and that's the only solution.

You do need a cooling fan on the 360 xbox, we have one with no problems, the cooler is cheaper than the console.

White pixels all over screen when playing game only

Many have tried to diagnose the root cause of thi problem, focusing on the various cables attached to their consoles; but whether using high or standard-definition cables, the same worrying situation of a display blackout occurs.

Others have supposed that the problems are being caused by the hardware component layout within the Xbox 360, blaming its poor orientation as the cause of limited ventilation - and perhaps the subsequent video faults. A few also mention the possibility of an Xbox Live update glitch, which may explain the reason why these people experienced the black screen around the same time.
By best advice is to call Microsoft and see if you are still under warranty and have the system replaced before spending money on new cables.

The number for Microsoft is listed on the back of almost every game booklet.
