Based off what your describing it sounds like a possible issue within your control board or door latch assembly. Is your washer receiving power into it? If not it could be an issue within the power cord or house wiring. Since it could be any of these possible issues I would personally contact a profession to come and accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. -Matt

Hello serratosal - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may have a broken belt or a faulty control board. Often when the belt is damaged, the unit will try to spin but it causes it to burn and eventually blow the control board.
