Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

Here is the description of my problem. Please tell me if you can determine the root cause based on the below. Your help is very appreciated Refrigerator stopped cooling completely. The light is on when the door is open and I can hear the fan in the freezer running. I performed the following steps and below are my observations: Turned the temperature control all the way to the left to turn off - Fan stopped After a while, I turned the temperature control on - Fan starts immediately - After a few seconds (10-30 seconds) I hear a click from outside back of the refrigerator. I am assuming some sort of relay - the compressor does not start, however - I continue to hear fan working continuously, but compressor does not seem to run - After a while compressor gets hot (I can still hold my hand on it without burning but it is pretty hot) Turned the temperature control all the way to the left to turn off again - Fan stopped immediately - After a few minutes (1-3 minutes) I hear the same click as before.

Frigidaire dryer model gler331as2 wont start.how do I trouble shoot it

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
Based off what your describing it sounds like a possible issue within your control board or door latch assembly. Is your washer receiving power into it? If not it could be an issue within the power cord or house wiring. Since it could be any of these possible issues I would personally contact a profession to come and accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. -Matt

Why does fuse keeps blowing within mircrowave

Hello friend, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided I understand that your fuse blows every time your Electrolux microwave starts up. It sounds like it could be an issue within the control panel, capacitor, or circuit breaker. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your microwave to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts-Matt

Sims 3 keeps crashing

It could be due to several different things! And without further details, e.g. Type of computer, game minimum requirements, what other processes or apps are loaded, etc. It is almost impossible to determine the root cause of the issue, although I suggest you to try:
1. close all apps and run game
2. Reset SMC and PRAM (see link)
3. Try in another user account
4. check game video settings and disable any special effects.
(You might need to upgrade the system memory)

My front load Frigidaire washer starts the water runs then it stops

Hi Kim, I am happy to assist you!

Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. If you noticed a humming noise, it could either be a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Hope this helps!

My stackable washer smells burnt and it does not cycle it tryies but then it spells like it is burning so i turned it off.

Hello serratosal - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may have a broken belt or a faulty control board. Often when the belt is damaged, the unit will try to spin but it causes it to burn and eventually blow the control board. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

I cleaned my keyboard while turned on and now I cannot get my number pad to work, which buttons did I accidentally push to get to turn off and how can I get them back on.

Based on your description of the problem you're experiencing, it sounds like you most likely pressed the "NUM LOCK" key. If NUM LOCK was activated before you cleaned the keyboard and was accidentally pressed during cleaning, this key press would deactivate NUM LOCK, causing the number pad to stop responding. To reverse this, simply press NUM LOCK again. The NUM LOCK button is located right above the "7" key on the number pad (see picture below).

Alternatively, since the setting determining whether NUM LOCK is activated when your computer is started is stored on your hard drive, you can try restarting the computer to revert back to an active NUM LOCK. Be sure to try this in case the first solution above does not work.

are you talking about the timer?if it is then just replace the timer, send the model number next time and i can tell you the part number and how to change out the part you need.the timer advances and then goes into defrost, then it should start the machine again, the timer clock inside the timer is broke keeping it in defrost, when you turn it manually you're taking out of defrost, you need a new timer
