You need to take the batteries out of your clock/themometer, wait a couple of minutes then put the batteries back in, the reciever should find your transmitter and indicate the outside temperature, if this is a clock you can set it. If its a "atomic" clock you can let it set itself

I am getting no outside temperature readings on my Watson W-8386 I have changed the batteries on the transponder.

Try removing all batteries, then installing batteries in outside unit and allowing it to initialize and begin sending temperature data. Install batteries in the inside unit and you should see the outside temperature displayed. If not, the outside unit may be defective.

I have a weather station 9N14 V030U and I can't get the outside temperature to program. We just changed the batteries in both units.

  • Remove all batteries
  • Install replacement batteries in the outside unit
  • After allowing time for the outside unit to initialize and begin transmitting data, install batteries in the inside unit. You should see the outside temperature displayed.

Why is my outside temp not registering. I have replaced the batteries

  • Remove all batteries
  • Install outside batteries
  • Move from outside to inside at a casual pace to allow time for outside unit to begin sending temperature
  • Install inside batteries. You should see outside temperature displayed
I find that outside temperature display comes and goes depending upon the weather, e.g., Today at 12 pm, the outside temperature is 35 deg F; earlier this morning it was - -. For the last couple of days, the temperature has been - - then suddenly last night it was 28 deg F.

Do you have to change batteries on clock inside house along with outside batteries to get correct outside temperature

My most consistent (best, repeatable) results with this process are to replace both sets of batteries, both in the clock and in the outside temperature sensing unit. Start by removing all batteries out of everything. Now replace the batteries in the outdoor unit, then (within 30 seconds) replace the clock batteries. The temp unit should begin communicating normally within 5 minutes (or less) and yes, you will have to reset the clock,

Changed batteries and the outside temperature still does not show

Bring the outside sensor inside. Take the batteries out of the sensor and out of the main unit. Wait 10 minutes. Put the batteries back in the remote sensor. Put the batteries back in the main unit. Do not touch any of the buttons. Wait 10 minutes. If the remote temperature is not showing within 10 minutes, try again. Once the remote temperature is showing, you can set the clock.

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

Outside temp on skycam atomic clock

Try changing the battereis in the CLOCK. When the batteries in the clock start getting low, the clock does not pick up the outside transmitter.
