Question about Dishwashers
You have something stuck in the motor or something has broken the blades on the impeller. You will need to take out the racks and remove the rotor and the impeller cover.
BE CAREFUL!! Often it is broken glass stuck in there! Or, it could be a knife! Be sure you unplug it as well. It will be plugged in under your sink in most cases. If not, turn off the breaker.
