Panasonic Dvd Home Sound system SC-PT950 code f61

posted by llubrano on Aug 03, 2008

We've had this system since January, came home last night and Code F61 shows up on our system when we try to turn on. The manual states it could be a speaker issue, we checked the speakers and they're all working. Please give us another suggestion on what to check or what could actually be the problem, please.
Thank you

The F61 is the coded "protect mode" indication. The internal amp chip has failed. It sounds like this system should still be under warranty. Return it for warranty service. The amp chip will be replaced.

Sorry about hte delayed response. I was away in business for a few days.
