Question about HP Pavilion a1630n PC Desktop

1 Answer

Had my c1630n for years and suddenly lately i have had it just turn off on me at different times. There are no errors showing in event viewer each time it does it. Sometimes it runs all day the shuts down at night. Sometimes within 10 mins of running. I installed a software to tell me the temp and its running at 34-40c. my friend suggested a new power supply so i upgraded the power supply to one that was 400w and it runs a little cooler but shuts down still. dont know what else it can be.

Have you made any other changes recently other than the PSU? Are all your drivers up to date? Do you have a graphics card installed?

Check the CPU fan's Heat sink whether it heats up such that you are unable to touch at the time of automatic shut down. If it is so then remove the fan and apply some Heat Sink Compound between the fan and processor, reattach the fan.

I get error rtl100.bpl what must i do

hi
i am techbuddies from fixya group i would like to try and solve your issue .
please try to follow these steps

You probably read web pages written in a language that displays Right To Left
(hence rtl100) There are several reasons why that file might corrupt, an
add-on of some kind being the main suspect. Go to start/run, and type:

iexplore -extoff

to see it that stops the error.
If not, try refreshing all system files with :

sfc /scannow

if is doesnot work then try this

Are any devices malfunctioning? Select Start, All Programs, Accessories,
System Tools, System Information. Open Components under System Summary
and click on Problem Devices. Is anything listed there?

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Does anything turn up in the Event Viewer Logs?

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.
if the same problem comes up please try to get in touch with me on my email or on fixya

thanks
techbuddies

My windows suddenly shows "beginning memory dump"

It sounds like you might having a problem with RAM. A couple of questions for you:
1. Are you running any particular type of application before getting the blue screen?
2. Have you recently upgraded your PC with more RAM?
3. Also how much RAM do you have? You need at least a minimum of 1 gig of RAM to efficiently run Vista...even though this might not be causing the problem, but it does help overall performance/

Another thing that you can try is looking in the Event Viewer and then tell me any error messages that you see. To get to the event viewer...Click on Start --> Run --> type in eventvwr.msc and press enter. Once in the event viewer look under System and see if there are any error's that occurred around the time the blue screen came up.

Just in case that its RAM...try this downloading this tool (memtest )to diagnose any issues with RAM --> http://www.memtest.org/.

My dell inspiron computer comes up with error codes 5010 and 733.

Hi,

You might have the wrong driver installed for the modem or you could be having a conflict with the hardware. I would try reinstalling the drivers for the modem and also check the Event viewer for any issues.

Event Viewer:
Right click on My Computer and choose Manage, then click the + on Event Viewer. Browse through all the difference categories and see if you have any errors. That might give you a better idea as to what is going on. Google the errors to find a solution or post them here and we might be able to help you more.

Good Luck,
Armymason
