I have ATI HD 4250 graphic card i bought this lg e2260 about 2 weaks ago and when I connect HDMI cable , it shows"check cable signal" sometimes it does'nt show that and run correctly but...

make sure the cable is securely seated and not faulty

the drivers might not be installed correctly you might have to uninstall the graphics card restart your computer then reinstall the graphics card and its drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers or uninstall

hope this helps

The power lite goes on and off and screen wont lite up

telepathy do not work, you need to state what computer brand, what model, what monitor, meantime follow that procedure:

1. switch off computer and monitor
2. disconnect all cables on the back of the computer and monitor
3. re-connect all cables
4. re-power your monitor (is light on? any message on the screen?)
5. re-power your computer - is there any activity on the screen?

if there is no joy:

6. change monitor for known working one and check for display,
7. connect your monitor to known working computer,

is there a display on your monitor? is there a display on borrowed monitor?

if there is display on borrowed monitor, that mean that your monitor is at fault, especially if your monitor do not work on another machine.

if neither monitor work on your machine but both work on other, this will indicate video card at fault (most probable) or motherboard, or memory all of these need to be assessed before further proceedig can be advised.

before further help is sought, state clearly what computer, motherboard type and model (all in one?), video card model, monitor model

if you find this advice helpful, vote for me

When i press the on button the fans run, but no booting

Have you tried a new power supply. Sometimes the ps will go bad and not supply the correct voltage needed to power your entire system. My experience with emachines have come to this conclusion about 98 percent of the time.

Good Luck

I have a dell inspiron 1100 approx 7 yrs old. Try to start up, no display. LCD for power and battery (ac power) light up, no hard drive light. Reseated everything, still nothing. Also shuts itself down...

Since there is no hard drive light, you could try unplugging it first, and try to boot and see if there would be any display on the LCD. If yes, you already isolated the problem that it is the Hard drive causing the " no display".

Try to do also the following: (draining flea power)

1. Remove the battery and ac adapter
2. Press and hold the power button for at least 10sec.
3. Put back the battery and ac adapter
4. Turn on the computer

Hope to hear from you soon.

I have asus p5p800-mx mother board morboard working fine and also start but on monitor no display and i also try to install additional graphics card then also no display

Have you tested the monitor to see if it is working? Is the vga cable good? Are you getting the BIOS start-up display screens when computer is booting up or no display at all? It is odd that both the on board video and video card would be bad I would double check the cable connection and the monitor. If the cable is good and the monitor is working properly than the board might be bad. You should at least get the BIOS start-up screen display.

Blank screen; Unresponsive computer, & three beeps in succession

2 short beeps and 1 long beep (repeats 5 times) = Unable to initialize video or video card required but not installed. Sounds like the card may have gone down

this sounds like a bios problem, faulty/corrupt.
try removing the cmos battery for 10 seconds, replace then re-boot.

If this does,nt work suspect faulty Power-Supply-Unit. Motherboard. Ram Or CPU.
