Hi,
You can try to put it back to factory setting's under user mode.

Press MENU and #, select clear and all, press OK.

Now the machine is back to the original state.

NOTE: after clear all you need to enter all your settings that you had before

Hope that helps!

I have Canon ImageClass MF5750 and been having problem with paper size issue.it usually stop printing or photocopying and ask me to check paper setting even though the setting is looks okay(paper size

Make sure that the document you print is set to A4 or Letter, dependent upon the printer setup. If you try to print to the wrong size of paper, the printer will stop.

Canon Imageclass MF6500 Series Copier with Blank Copies Prints Problem

This tip works on all Canon Imageclass 6500 series machines including the MF6500 MF6530 MF6531 MF6540 MF6550 MF6560 MF6580 MF6590 and MF6595.
First of all if you are experiencing blank copies and or prints the best thing to do is try a different toner cartridge. In rare cases the black copies/prints CAN be caused by a defective cartridge. In MOST cases it is caused by a broken or detatched laser shutter lever or arm. When a toner cartridge is inserted and the door closed, a small plastic arm opens the laser shutter. If this arm is broken or has become disconnected then the shutter is not opened. This blocks the laser from writing the copy or print image onto the drum and this results in no print being applied to the paper. If the arm is broken you CAN open the laser shutter manually and block it open. What you need to do it open the cartridge access door, remove the cartridge and look for a 1/2 inch wide slot running from left to right in the metal frame that is in the back upper section where the cartridge goes. The plastic arm that operates the black plastic shutter is on the right side. If broken you can manually lift up the shutter and "block" it open using something like a folded up scrap of paper. I know it sounds strange but I have used this repair on several of my customers machines and they have all worked fine since. If you can not find or effect the repair yourself at least you will know where to point the service person when they come out to look at it.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

As paper comes out, it hesitates, goes back in and then comes fully out. This is with every page even after we think we went to default settings. Never used to happen but started when we moved it to a...

Sounds like your machine is set to copy/print in double sided mode as the default. The reason the paper is going back in then exiting is because it is making a 2 sided copy/print. You did not mention wether it does this while copying, printing or both?
If it was only when printing from your PC then it may be in your print setup. Either way I would look specifically at the settings that deal with duplexing / 2 sided copying
Good Luck

Check page counter on Canon MF6590

if the control panel doesnt have the "Check counter" button then you need to print the System dump list.
Access to service mode, then go to Report, then choose report output, then choose system dump, then press OK.

All the above info is classified since this machines are not suppoused to be kept track of prints like that for the user. Reason why i cannot go further.

when the page is printed (the first one) tells you how many copies you have Totally printed... under PRINT-TTL.
good luck!

Canon imageCLASS MF6530; can't set up duplex (2sided) printing

hi there
there are 2 ways to copy 2 sided
one is full duplex which means your copier must have a duplex attatchment fitted on the copier lid
the other if it hasn't got a duplexer is to copy in 1 to 2 mode which means you have to turn the copy over. it sounds like your machine has not got a duplexer fitted but it can still do double sided using 1 to 2.

hope this helps
