Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

For some reason, there is from time to time no sound, and the screen switches from green to red (to other colors I think), and also switches from football stations to the Howard Stern show. I have no idea how to stop this!

Assuming there is a single cause to all of these problems AND you get your TV from Cable, I'd contact the Cable provider and tell them about the channels switching and other stuff.

There is a humming in back of tv.the sound always good but picture doesnt come thru and i get a green screen someetimes blurry with distortion.color wheel or dmd chip or lamp starting to go out

as my experience, the most possible reason should be the color wheel or its photo sensor board.

firstly try to clean its photo sensor board, or have to replace a new wheel.

i just have this wheel, when you need to replace it, contact me freely

Why do i have a green screen after i turn the screen adjustment screw?

since every display color monitors are only work with 3 primary color which are red, blue and yellow. You could also search it that by mixing these colors, you could get any color your want. Thats how color monitors work. Now in case of green color, it creates by mixing blue and yellow. When you are turning the screen adjustment screw, the red color plug will become lose, makes it appear green.
I hope your got the reason.

Cannot get sound. green cable is not connected. three cables connected together-- red and blue cables connected to aux in left and right. do not see where green cable should be connected. we just...

The actual color the head on a given cable is irrelevant as long as it connects an output to its compatible input.

Jacks on the electronics follow a common color code and are labeled for the color-blind.

Analog audio jacks are usually red (right) and white (left).

Composite video is usually yellow.

Red, green and blue are traditionally for Component Video. In other words, NOT SOUND.

A disconnected cable is usually a good reason for a signal to fail. But one should not guess where they go.

I would like to use the 1301 switch but my house circuit has 2 black wires and 1 red wire which terminals do I connect the wires to on the switch?

I don't know the copper-brand 1301 switch
Internet photos of the 1301 show that it has two screw terminals, and a green ground screw
Switch with 2 screws is a single-pole switch. (plug green ground screw)

Sounds like you are replacing 3-way switch with 3 screws. (plus green ground screw)
3-way switches control hallway lights, with switch at each end of hallway.

I think you need to buy a 3-way switch.

How to wire 3-way switch:
Bare ground always goes to green screw
The key is the dark-colored screw.
Old switch has dark-colored screw >> mark this wire.
Attach this wire to dark-colored screw on new switch.
Other two wires go to either screw.

When I use the HD input on my mitsubishi, everything on the screen is green???

When your picture has a green shade to it when connected through component video cables(red, blue, green) that indicates that you have the red and blue switched around at one end, since you have a picture, that indicates that the green cable is hooked up correctly, if the picture color isn't corrected after you make the switch, then make sure you don't have a bad cable.(it happens more often than you think) Good luck !

No sound on play back using camcorder on technika tv

Looks like you are using Component cables. There are five cables. The first three cables are Green,Blue and Red. These are the ones that are molded next to each other and are the Video signal cables. The other two cables are Red and White and they are the audio cables.
First to correctly hook up these cables you need to Connect (Match) Color for Color. (Green to Green, Blue to Blue, and Red to Red. To tell if you have correctly connected the Video cables is to look at the screen. If the picture looks ok (Normal with no colors missing then you have connected the video cables correctly). If you see a missing color meaning red, then switch the Red cables. The picture should be ok now. The remaining two cables are the Red and White cables. The "Red cable" is for the "Right" audio input and the "White" cable is for the "Left" audio Input". If all is connected correctly then you should have a good picture and Left and Right audio.

TV picture is red.

Normal color picture is composed with 3 colors R-G-B (Red-Green-Blue). Picture turns Red means: Missing Green and Blue colors (many reasons: bad contacts, projector tubes dead, and other...). Try to give some "tabs" to diagnose ... I don't know what is the type of your Projection TV, how long you owned it, to have more idea.

Screen is green when trying to play a DVD

Hi,
I think DVD player is hooked with TV via component video input.

Check component video connections and make sure each color wire connect in same correspondence color in both units, TV and DVD Player.

Red to red, green to green and blue to blue.

Color wrong and red spots

Sounds like CCD sensor problem . It starts with 'noisy' pictures ( colors not true and resolution deteriorates )but eventually the sensor stops outputting anything and you end up with blank screen. Have the sensor replaced and camera will work fine.
