Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: i need the default IP address of the sony snc-m1w

There isn't one, each camera receives its own address from the router to which is connected.

Need default IP address for the SONY SNC-RZ30N

if it's inside your LAN, try 192.168.0.196 or something close to that. If you're trying to access it remotely, you'll need a static IP from your ISP.

here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/docs/manuals/snc-rz30nuserguidev2.0.pdf or http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/docs/manuals/usesguidesncrz30nv4.pdf check page 25 (top left) for reset to default instructions (you have to read back a couple of pages to find the menu they are talking about) - there is however no mention of any password issues when you do this. If you do need the password to carry out the reset procedure, then I think you need to contact Sony - the camera is expensive enough that they should help; http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/info/contact.shtml Hope this helps:)

I can't reach snc RZ30 from external computers

I've never used this model but I would assume the following:

Port forward its IP address/Port using the settings of the router.

More info on that can be found here:

http://www.portforward.com/

Check you IP (www.ipchicken.com)

Use that IP to access remotely.

Hope this helps,

Thanks!

Trying to port forward requests to the IK-WB21A webcam. From inside the house it works great. From outside, port forwarding port 8001 to 80 and I get NO response. Tried tcpdump and there is no response...

What are you using to view the Camera? Is this the only IP camera you are viewing/.accessing on the network? If it is not, are you using different IPs in the non-DHCP pool.
Typically you do not have to set-up port forwarding to gain access to the camera within the network. Normally port forwarding is set-up when you are outside your network and need to gain access to different applications/devices in your network using the same static IP address.
Let say you have a camera ip on 192.168.1.20.
You can connect to the camera with your web browser inside your network with the IP 192.168.1.20 (obviously), but if you have the camera set up to only be triggered on a specific port (other than the browser's default 80) let's say 100, then you would enter 192.168.1.20:100.
If the only thing on your network is the camera that you want to access from outside. you would setup in your router to route all incoming requests from port 80 (which is the web browser default) to the IP of the camera. Sometimes routers ask for a range just enter 80 to 80.
If the camera is working on a different port like 8001 then you would port forward 8001 to 8001 to IP 192.168.1.20. You would enter in your web browser (off-site) your static IP 69.132.54.176:8001. But I would suggest if the camera is the only thing you will be trying to gain remote access to, then leave it at 80 and set up forwarding for port 80 to the IP.
That way you can set up a free DNS service and not worry about paying extra for a static.
