How replace a larg hard drive eones 433?

Well, the computer is so old that you may not be able to upgrade the hard drive very much. If you do decide to you will need a PATA hard drive and I would suggest not going over 100GB since I don't know what operating system and service pack you are using, as older operating systems can only see so much hard drive disk space.

I dont know how to set boot option?

Normally you want to boot from the CD/DvD drive 1st then the Hard Drive 2nd. This is the best way because if the hard drive ever goes bad you can put a operating system disc or repair disc into the drive and boot from it.

Just be careful that when you boot the computer you don't have a music cd or movie dvd in the drive otherwise you might get an error messages saying unbootable device.

I cant format the hard drive

Hi golkimo...
Sometimes you cannot format the hard drive that is in the computer...I don't know why.
But what I do is put the hard drive in an external hard drive holder and plug it into another guest computer and it will then let you format the hard drive from the guest computer.
Then reinstall back into your computer and reinstall the operating system.

Had a seagate free agent given as a present but i have lost the manual and don't know how to operate it. how do I transfer files and how do I download them onto another PC ?

Hi vic_barnes,

You don't need the manual to operate the external hard drive , all you need to do is connect the drive via the USB cable and your computer should accept it , and then you would find a removable drive visible in your my computer option.

Then you can open this drive and copy your files to and from it.

Hope this helps ..:)

I have a hard drive with Win 7 with programs, etc. I also have, installed, a hard drive with Win xp, No programs. I want the "Dual Boot" option on startup so that I can choose either option...

Hi,

To dual boot you must partition your hard drive into two partitions and load operating systems on both partitions. I don't think you want to do this. Go to tigerdirect.com and look for a device called a TRIOS. Trios is an IDE hard drive disk selector device, which can be placed into a PC's 5.25-inch bay, that enables end users to boot easily from a choice of up to three different or same operating systems on "three separate hard drives". Simple to install, and just as easy to use

My cf19 wont boot up after it goes to the blue panasonic screen it says "no operating system found" i dont know what to do.

Hi,

There are three main causes for this message to display after turning on the computer.

1. The Operating system (Windows XP, Vista, 7, Linux, Mac OS..) is corrupted or is missing. You might have accidentally deleted or formatted the C: drive or the operating system is just unreadable due to corrupted system files.

2. The harddrive is not detected by the computer.

3. The partition on the hard drive where the operating system is located is unreadable due to bad sectors.

Here are the steps that you can try.

- Go to the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) setup by pressing F2 or F10, depends on what make an model of the computer.
- Check if the hard drive is detected. The hard drive is usually labeled as Drive 0 and you can find it either on the main tab or system tab. Again this depends on the BIOS and make and model of the computer.
- If the hard drive is detected, install a fresh copy of the operating system.
- If the hard drive is NOT detected, check harddrive cable/connections. You need to unscrew the hard drive compartment and reinsert the hard drive or put in a new hard drive.

Hope this helps.

I need to know how to format the harddrive on my Inspiron 1525 laptop.

The fastest way to do it is by inserting the operating system install disk and select clean install and format the hard drive from there you don't have to install the operating system its a utility built in but if you format your hard drive it will erase windows or what operating system you use.

Hi.. when the computer start up the error msg came and says that insufficient system resources exist to complete the API. when pressing Ok the computer restart and the process starts again and again.....

it sounds like you have a hard drive problem .you may need to re-install a fresh set of windows. really should be backing up your system regularly .if you don,t have any success re-installing fresh windows i,m afraid you might need to replace your hard drive .

My laptop keeps saying no bootable divice found

Hello!

I don´t know is your laptop older or is newest, but or you have trouble with you hard drive (see in bios, does you hard drive there), or you have trouble with system.
You can try repair installation (don´t lose your data), or you can install a new system.
Good luck, i hope so that I was helpful.

Installing new system software on G4 imac where system removed

Well the flashing question mark means its not finding a bootable device meaning the hard drive has no OS on it. You should be able to put jaguar on it if its a retail version and not one from another mac product. Let me know how this works for you
