Question about SYMA Toys industrial New Syma S107 Radio Remote Control Helicopter

1 Answer

My sons S107 lower rotors would not turn. I disassembled and solved a gearing problem. At this time a wire came loose that supplies power to the tiny little prop at the tail. I fixed this problem too. Once I got it all back together all the props turn but the helo has NO lift. Any suggestions?

Check if s107 is fully charged.
Both rotors (lower and upper blade) should be working at full capacity. If either one of them is going slower, S107 won't lift up from the ground.
Check that gears are not too tight on each other. They should be able to rotate (leave cca 1mm space up/down between them)

My S107G Metal Series will not take off just sits and spins how can i fix

If there are two blades that turn in opposite directions, perhaps the blades are reversed. If that is the case then they are pushing the helicopter down instead of up.

My Syma S107 bottom rotors won't turn. What is the fix?

Probably just the cog on the motor not meshing with the main shaft gear.

Kind regards, Julian

S107 RC Helicopter making a high pitched whine when used

If the gears are meshing properly and the rotors are not spinning very fast then the motor shaft is slipping in the hub of the first gear.

Syma s107 hit a dangling string that got tied up instantly and seized the rotors. now lights up but blades don't spin when throttled. What can I do besides replace the helicopter?

I was flying my syma s800g and hit the ceiling fan chain. When I attempted to fly it would spin and fall over. The problem was I broke the two small plastic pins on the top rotor holder. Ordered a new top rotor and flies fine. Then on my s107 I flew into a door and the top rotor had zero spin although the motors worked. In that case the screw that sets the top rotor onto the middle shaft loosened resulting in no lift and also tilted and fell over. This was fixed by securing the set screw properly. So in both instances it was similar effects due to the top rotors not spinning in sync with lower blades.

How do I change the tail rotor on a syma s107

Carefully, while holding the silver metal motor in place, gently pull the rotor off of the rear drive shaft. Place new one on and push it gently into place. If it is loose, you can secure it with a VERY CAREFULLY applied mini-drop of super glue. Turn helicopter upside down and use as little glue as possible, keep it away from where the shaft meets the motor, and keep upside down until glue dries fully.

Hope this helps,
PvT

The tail rotor on my Syma s107 metal series helicopter won't spin. the battery is fully charged. the top rotor still spins. i don't know what to do

It seems tail motor is not working.
S107 knows to come with faulty tail motor.

If you open pilot cabin, you should see blue and red (or green and red) wire. See if they are welded on the motherboard.
If they are, then tail rotor is not working properly.

My heli dosent have any lift it is fully charged and I give it full throttle and it get about 2 inches off the ground and that's it caint figure it out and iv only used it about 5 times

Check if gears are not too tight together. There should be little space (up/down) between them (cca
If that is OK, then one rotor is working slower than the other one and should be replaced.
Which one? When S107 is flying on the ground, check in which direction is it spinning.
You should replace rotor responsible for spinning in other direction.

The top rotor of my syma S107 is not working and the motor is making a different sound. What should I do?

This is a counter rotational craft and thus there should be two electric engines turning one rotor each. The top rotor is probably connected to the lover gear, and thus this is where you should start looking.

When you turn your top rotor, do any of the gears move? Try holding the gear while turning the rotor also, if the rotor is spin able while holding the gear then your rotor shaft is damaged and the entire rotor should be replaced if possible.

Also, try turning both rotors and see if one spins heavier than the other. This should
also indicate damage to the construction, or the engine.

If everything is looking all right, and all the gears turns all the way to the engine, and everything looks tight, then it is a great possibility your engine is fried.

Many of the sets have easily changeable rotors and rotor shafts, and some also have easily changeable gears. However, most cheap crafts like this do not have easily changeable engines. I do not know this model, so this you have to investigate. Now, it is possible to do engine shifts by yourself even if the manufacturer does not provide spare parts, but I
