It could be a bad connection. The keyboard is usally pretty easy to remove. On most labtops it can be removed with a small screwdriver along the edge of the keybord. It is connected to the motherboard with a brezel connector, check that it is not loose. If you cant find the fault you can normally find a replacement keyboard on ebay for as low as 20 bucks.

Take a look at this guide

My screen lights are at half strength. The F4 and F5 buttons do not work

Maybe you have to press and hold the FN function key at the lower left side of the keyboard, then hit F4 or F5. Most times just pressing F4 or F5 will not work.

F keys do not work f3,f4,f5,f8,f9

You will need to replace the laptop keyboard, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop, refine search to keyboard. It would not hurt to use an external keyboard to be sure.

The FN key stopped working from nothing, pressing FN + F3 or f4 or f5 or f6 or f7 nothing happens

Its probably just a broken key on the keyboard. If you know someone with a usb keyboard then plug it in and see if the FN key on that responds. if it does then it is the keyboard at fault.I would buy a new keyboard.

The screen is extremely dark on the e620, how do you adjust the screen brightness

Look for the symbol on the keyboard, usually on f4 and f5 that looks like a sun, it will be stamped usually in a light blue or purple color. Hold down the fn key which is to the left of your keyboard and use the F5 key or brightness symbol with arrow up to brighten the screen. If the screen still does not get very bright, it may be an inverter or and LCD Issue.

External monitor for amilo pro v2030

hi
when the external monitor is connected hold down the function key " f n " ( which is located 2nd on left of lowest row ) and then press either the F4 or F5 function keys on top line....the one that has a small icon like a rectangle or tv screen on it ....it has usually 3 toggle positions so if it dosent work first time then just press the same key again (still holding fn key) until it allows the monitor to get the signal.....if F4 dosent work then go thru the same sequence with F5 but depending on the laptop model it could be any one ...F3/F4/F5/F6 the usual suspects....
hope this helps
