SOURCE: I replaced ignition coil on a Tecumseh Toro 20018

It is a short in the kill switch, or the wire running to the kill switch. check insulation on the wire running to the kill switch and check the routing of the wire to insure that it is not being rubbed by moving parts, or the insulation melted by hot engine parts such as the exhaust system. Finally check that the kill switch itself is functioning properly with a test light or OHM Meter.

SOURCE: I have a Toro SS4235

There are two possibilities for this shut down in gear. 1) The fuel issue. In fuel issue it can be fuel liner dirty or carb not letting fuel to flow the carb is dirty and needs cleaning.--------- 2) The safety switches are shorting. ---------- As you made it clear that fuel and carb is not the issue and problem is related to safety switches.then you are absolutely right. The switches gets short or its connections gets loose and cause the problem of shut down in gears.-------- There are various safety switches that could shut it down when the blade is engaged.
Usually on the seat, clutch pedal, transmission selector and blade control.
If one of the switches is malfunctioning or improperly adjusted, it could cause the engine to shut off when the blades are engaged or the transmission is put in gear.First get the seat switch checked,m in most cases this switch is the issue.Jump additional wire to switch connection , by bypassing the switch and check. If it starts and runs in gear, the switch is short, if not then other switches are top be checked, same way, by jumping wires and by-passing the switch.
------------------

There should be a clutch brake switch that would be activated when you push the clutch brake in. Otherwise you could have loose connections at any of the switches or corrosion or bad ground. There could be a neutral switch on the transmission it will look like a small ball bearing that your shift slides over. This switch is in the system too and should be checked. -------------------

This possibilities are to be checked. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

SOURCE: My toro zero turn seems to overheat and stops moving from left side about half hour it runs fine.?

First check to see if you have any leaks especially on the problem let side. This includes the wheel motor. where hydro oil comes out, air can go in. either way it sounds like you need to take your pump out and open it up and check for metal inside. If you do not have any metal inside check the 5 pistons to see if they are stuck. What series hydro pump do you have?
10L 10A etc.

SOURCE: Jerky movement

there are 2 drive belts that control the transmission. 1 is a variable speed drivebelt going from the engine back to the trans. it is the long one. the shorter belt drives the trans. off of the other variable speed belt. both belts are located under the mower and are not fun to get to. I would bet that one of these belts are slipping and grabbing, giving you the jerky ride. visually inspect for cracks or peeling, then check tensioning system for the belt to make sure they have the correct tension. less likely would be in the geardriven trans. it might act that way if some teeth of the gears inside are worn or broke. one other thing to check if all else looks good.... the variable belt drive pulley expands and contracts to change speed of the transmission input. I have seen these pulleys fail to operate correctly and this could also cause the ride to ****. hope some suggestions here help. R

Sounds like you have air in the hydraulic system that needs to be purged from the fluid to alleviate the cavitation.

Finally decided to follow the manual's recommendation and changed the transmission fluid (SAE 10-W-30) while doing an end of season overhaul. Engine runs fine, but no forward or reverse. Over the last...

Did you loose forward and reverse right after fluid change or was it gradual? Sounds like you have air in the system. I would jack up back end and leave fluid fill cap off overnight. Maybe lay a light rag over it to keep debris out, but with the cap off and back end jacked up it should help air bubbles find there way out. Then, replace cap, leave jacked up and try bleeding by forward and reverse. Hope this helps.

I have a 50in. toro time cutter zero turn and it wont work on the right side in forward or reverse?

Your release valve is open on the pump on that side. Or that pump or wheel motor is no good.

Time cutter hydro does not move but i can hear it whine

Did you check the could have air in the system, did you check the hydro oil level? In my experience with toro hydro systems is when i change the oil air gets in the system. At low rpm move control handles forward and reverse several times until air works itself out. if this doesn't work more than likely there could be internal pump problems.

Im looking to work on a back exercise program that I can do at home every day. Not something too long. Any ideas?

I always like the advice that the mayo clinic gives and they have a 15 minute exercise program for sufferers of back pain that you might find helpful;

Slow speed on one side.

Check to be sure there is not a lot of grass and debris packed in spaces that prevent proper movement of the control arms.
If the control arms have free range of motion then you will need to check your fluid level and purge the pumps.
To purge the pumps jack the unit up and place on jack stands so that the drive wheels are off the ground. Release the transmissions so that they are in freewheel. Start the unit, release the brake and work the control levers slowly to full forward then full reverse 6 times. Shut the motor off, lock the transmissions back into drive. Start the unit and work the control levers back and forth 6 times again. Take down off the jacks and check fluid level. If there were any air pockets in the pumps this procedure would have purged the air out.
