Vipul199- your question is not directed to the company that sent a repairman/mechanic. This is a website for helping people solve and repair problems. You need to contact the company that sent the mechanic out to your home.

How to change the AC compressor on a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer?

Remove dash inside to access as compressor. Discharge compressor then unbolt and replace. Use ac die to check for leaks then charge. reinstall dash after no leaks. This repair I do not recommend for the novice or semi novice mechanic as you can do more damage trying to replace a compressor then the high cost of the compressor. My new VW beetle's (just) Compressor runs about $1,200 dollars but at mechanic's price for part is half and rest is just mark-up! Remember that there is your price charged for a part and the mechanic's discounted price for that same part!

I ordered AC compresor, accumulator, and clutch cycling switch I hace recieve my products exept the clutch cycling switch

There shouldn't be any trouble with having the cycling switch installed after everything else is installed and charged. The mechanic may need to temporarily bypass the switch to get the system to run in order to fully charge it, however the switch can safely and easily be changed on a fully charged system without compromising the refrigerant.

AC doesn't blow cold air.

I'm sorry you have had such bad experiences with the shops.
I would have stopped at the second one and forced them to fix it at their cost.
I doubt you will be able to find the problem yourself, but I understand your hesitation to go back to another mechanic.
I will be happy to try to walk you thru the diagnostic process but it may take a few days.
First, do you know if the system is full of freon ?
If it is full, do you know if the compressor is running when the ac is switched on ?
The first shop should have discovered the blown fuse once they charged the system unless it took a day or two for the fuse to blow. The second shop that put the compressor on should have found the faulty fan, and the leaking hose if it is in fact leaking.
So should have the third shop.
If the compressor was faulty, and the system had been empty for a time, the hose could have started leaking once the system was being used. The pressure on the high side is over 200psi when the compressor is running.
Let me know where you want to start with the diagnosis after you answer my questions.

Ac intermittently quits working, just replaced condenser, put dye in system at mechanics- no leaks

Have an AC repair shop hook up a set of AC pressure gauges while this is happening to see what is going on. You could have a defective AC compressor or a low refrigerant charge in the system. And as to the hot weather causing it to act up that would be normal, the AC would cool fine the cooler the outside air is, problems like worn out compressors and low system refrigerant charge levels would only show there ugly head in hot weather conditions. Also make sure the cooling fans fo rthe AC and engine are working properly. Good luck with this.

2005 taurus ac problems

I would think more along the lines of the idle stepper motor or a bad vacume leak or airflow sensor or intake leak but I havn't seen the car. The A/C however does also control the idle it makes the idle higher when th A/C engages to cope with the load but if the A/C is off & yu expeirience the prob then I would sugest the A/C is not to blame. The A/C belt runs on the Idler & tensioner pully & I assume they were noisy & better to replace then have them seize & throw the belt which could cause other damage

05 tc. A/C blows hot then cold. Didn't blow cold

The A/C pump ismade of three seperate components. You are correct in it being electrical, to some degree. The compressor is self turnes, & in turning moves the freon thru the condensor, dryer, evaporator, & condensor. With the engine off, you can grab the clutch on the compressor, & turn it manually. Now, to your question. When you turn on your A/C, it sends a signal to one of 3 parts on your A/C compressor. The 1st signal, is a charge to the magnet (not its nomenclature name) that pulls the clutch, quickly, into the compressor shaft, so it can start turning. Now as this signal, is working,on an intermittant basis, 1 your clutch has been damaged, not always engaging fully, causing disc wear. The activating magnet, works intermittantly, this too, strains the electrical wiring, going thru the compressor to the magnet. Now the compressor works, but, 2 components, have gotten very hot, by intermittant action. To remove them, if "fused", will be labor intensive. Thanhaving a "sealed" system, dis-assembled, then re-assembled on a mechanics work table. No matter how hard I try its never completely clean......the repaired compressor can allow harmful contaminates into a system that works, with one part not working. Once contaminates are in the system......all the components can be damaged. The mechanic, is giving you the most cost efficieant repair, that will last longest, with least possiblility of failure.

Air condition feron will not charge the ac, compressior is working but comes on and off for short periods.

If the system is properly charged and the compressor cycles on and off, the compressor may be faulty, or there is a restriction/debris in the system or a clogged orifice tube. Coing system diagnostics require special tools and gauges, and any repair requires emptying the system of refrigerant. Venting the refrigerant into the atmosphere is dangerous and illegal. I would suggest taking the car to a qualified mechanic.

S40 with 80k- ac sucks!

If you have a leak in the system all the freon would leak out. Purchase a can of leak detector put in engine. Directions on how is on the can. If this shows a leak have lead repaired and new freon added. Could be compressor going out. Bought one on Ebay for $100 vs $300 from Auto Zone.
