Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hi! I am using ASUS A8JC laptop. I have this reformatted due to some viral problems. It works fine now, however, I am not able to use my built-in webcam and my bluetooth. I believe the drivers were not installed. I do not have any knowledge when it comes to trouble shooting. Hope you could help me with this. One more thing, I have my LAN card broken reason why I cannot connect to internet using a modem. That was suggested by the technician. Now, I feel like having too much trouble with this notebook. Help me please. Thanks

I have ASUS F5RL notebook. Notebook don't start.

Check your power adapter and your battery. Turn on your laptop using your battery power not connected the power adapter or remove your battery and directly using the power adapter. If it's still the same not turning on you must go to your nearest service center to check the trouble of your laptop.

If you mean turning on, but not loading to your windows application that means your system file has been corrupted. Due to improper shutdown or hanging due to cpu overheating or system crash due to viruses. In this case you have to reformat your hard drive but before that you must back up or save your important files or data that saved on your computer. Because formatting your hard drive will erase the entire data or files on that partition. Have a nice day.

Have a blue screen with out any icons

You may be connected to a network. A blue screen on a network usually means that your computer screen has been frozen due to evaluation purposes. If this is the case please contact your network administrator ASAP. If you are not on a network I would recommend first trying system restore. If this doesn't solve the problem just reformat your computer.

Laptop doesnt connect to wireless internet (wireless card is fine

When you reformatted your HD, did you use IBM's method which utilizes a hidden partition? This results in a laptop which appears to be as if it just came from the store, like a brand new laptop.
This method sets up the computer in the exact way that IBM built it. And puts all devices in their proper configurations.
If you have not done too much yet, you might want to try that method right away and see if it doesn't make a big difference in the way your laptop works.

No windows xp

You will have to reformat it again. its likely a bad sector has been created on the hard disk, and windows file is probably occupying the bad sector. Try to reformat your hard drive. If that doesn't work, try to reformat it with windows 98 bootable disk. If it doesn't work, get another hard drive and test to see if it will work. If that works, then know you may have lost the MBR (Master boot Record) of your hard drive.
