Question about MSI : MP54G Wiress 802.11g Mini PCI Card For Centrino (NONA01)

1 Answer

I have a MSI U120, the I can pick up wifi networks, but it will not connect. I know the networks are working as I have checked with other machines. I am running XP, have checked that the box is ticked to obtaining an IP address automatically in the IP (TCP/IP) Properties. Have tried Disabling and Enabling the WiFi card. It has been like this for a week, but a few days ago it did work for 1 day, but has stopped again. Any ideas? Thanks

I dont know how to open my wifi application. ive already check all the files that are being installed on my laptop but i never see any wifi. please help me..

I'm guessing this is a windows machine with either windows xp or windows 7 on it. Your wifi connections if you have one can either be found on the taskbar next to the clock. Or in your control panel in your network connections.

MSI U120 Netbook Internet Connection Problem? After months of working at an adequate level, the netbook stopped detecting wireless networks. What happened? There's nothing wrong with the internet. The...

At times, a netbook or notebook can create multiple duplicate links to the same network. Each one will diminish the strength of the connection by a little bit and you should clean them out so that there is only one.

Also, it makes sense to use the MAC address on the server side, such that only a netbook with your unique MAC address can connect to the wireless connection. It saves energy/strength if that is your only real security stopper, since like fingerprints, there are no such things as duplicate MAC addresses.

Try making those changes you might just find a cleaner, stronger connection to your WiFi at home.

Good Luck,

I have the msi u120 notebook and i dont know how to activated the bluetooth????

Press and hold the fn+f11 keys to cycle through all the wireless functions. You'll have to press repeatedly to find the combination of wireless features to turn on or off that you want. Depending on if you have wireless, 3g and bluetooth you might have to press f11 several times.

Wireless connectyion does not work on Msi U120

Are you using windows utility to connect to the wireless network. If you are not then switch over to windows utility.
Remove the preferred networks from the list, and then try to connect.
If that doesn't work then try to uninstall and reinstall the adapter using the found new hardware wizard.
