Question about Watches

Open Question

I need the owner's manual for a Timex Reef Gear Temperature Sensor Watch. It may be model T51723, though it's not marked with the model on the back of the case. When I Googled, several Reef Gear Temperature Sensor watches came up & listed that model. I haven't worn it in several years & the battery is dead. It did work until the battery died however. I'm pretty sure that it takes a CR2025 battery, since it has that number on the back of the case. Thanks in advance! ~Dave

SOURCE: I have a Timex Ironman Triathlon Speed + Distance...

The Timex Ironman manual and website says to take the watch to a repair facility. Nope! Do it yourself!

How to replace the battery in a Timex Ironman watch:

This is easier if you remove one of the rubbery wrist bands.

1. Take note of the position of the metal back cover. You'll need to reinstall it exactly as you see it in order to hear the alarm.

2. Remove the four screws that hold the metal back cover, and pry off the cover.

3. There is a round metal clip that holds the battery in place, covered with a transparent plastic cover which likely says, "Unlatch to remove battery". Within the center of each clip, there's a small opening just large enough for a straight pin to be inserted. A jewelers screwdrive won't work - use a straight pin. Insert a straight pin into the tiny opening at the edge of the clip, and wiggle it. The clip should release. You'll only need to unlatch one side of the battery retaining ring.

4. Gently pry up the batter retaining clip, then pry up the battery. Insert new battery.

5. Replace the clip.

6. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into a slot which has two "electrodes" or pins - they need to be shorted with the screwdriver to reset the watch. Just touch the screwdriver blade across the two pins to short it.

7. Reinstall the back cover but be sure to position the cover so the alarm sounding place ( a small disc attached to the inside back cover) will reside over the sounding spring.

8. Insert screws.

The trick is to turn the ring to the "Date" setting, Pull the stem out once for the Month and Date. Pull the stem out (hard, but gently) a second time for the Day of the week. Each pull will be confirmed by a 'beep. Be persistent and good luck.

What's your problem I need Timex WR-100M manual

First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

The WR-100M is not actually the model number of your watch, but rather only an indication of the Water Resistance rating of that particular model (100 Meters) and is found on many different models of Timex watches. You should be able to find the actual model number on the back of the watch under the strap.

Here is a direct link to the TIMEX SUPPORT page where you can download the appropriate USER'S MANUAL for your particular model of TIMEX watch:

http://www.timex.ca/en/manuals.aspx

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the complete list of available TIMEX Watch Owner's Manuals for you to download.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you Russ.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

How do you set the day for a timex i control reef gear watch?

http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads

There are two ways to find the user manual for your Timex watch.

1. Find your watch on the list below and click on the language link for your manual.

2. Find the 3-digit module number located on the caseback of most Timex products and click on the corresponding language link for that number in the Module Table at the bottom of the page.

I have an older timex mens wrist watch and I would like to know where I can look to find the model number on it. It is a wind not battery powered. Thank you for your help.

mcdevito75 here, I just took a peak into my own Older Timex watch, even though it"s a ladies the model number was on the movement itself and only a 3 digit number. Since the older Timex watches were mass produced this is all you may have as far as serial numbers go, and Timex did all their own watches so a serial number may only be 3--4--5 digits long. Anyway, double check the entire watch with a magnifier glass for the serial number, then check inside the back cover and movement itself. Here is Timex contact info, 800-448-4639 if needed.

Manual for Timex Reef Gear H2Y023

I have a Timex Reef Gear watch...can't find a model number anywhere. (The watch back has the 3 digit code 940, one they don't list on the Timex site).

My watch has two stems to adjust the time, day, date, etc. On mine, you turn the top stem until what you want to adjust appears in the digital window, then you pull out the stem one click to adjust.
