Yes most probably the power supply supply integrated with the control module/control panel has failed.

Hi

This is a control failure warning. First unplug the unit or take out the appropriate circuit breaker for five minutes. This will drain the main control, and reset the logic chip. After that, plug-in the unit, and start the dishwasher normally. If the error continues, replace the control sector immediately.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Thank you for contacting fixya.com

The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a product to solve this problem once and for all. Pdw 9800 jooww When power came on after outage, touch panel doesn't work and there is a constant beeping noise.

Try pressing two control buttons side by side in the center of the panel. The result will light all the buttons on the panel. A test mode will follow before it resets itself.

GE Profile PDW7880G00SS Dishwasher will not Start

Re: My dishwasher start light flashes and the timer display is blank.

That is a fault condition, if the display is blank it is probably a faulty control board.

Unplug the appliace from main, or trip circuit braker to cut power for ten minutes.

If display is still blank on startup, then replace the timer control assembly.

At first thought, it sounds like the control board has gone bad. Make certain it is properly plugged in. If no luck there, call the repairman.

Continuous alarm

I posted this under "Ben's" problem as well, but I had the exact same problem. I know which black and white wires you're talking about. I don't know what causes this, but getting new parts did fix it. The black box that all those wires go into on the right side is called the control module. I thought about replacing just this, but I saw several blogs of people who did this and the beeping continued. So, I got a new touchpad as well-and voila, the dishwasher is working again.

Continuous beep after power went off and on

I'm the one who posted on May 23. I tried turning off the breakers and it was still beeped when powered back on. I ordered a new touchpad and control module. When I replaced the touchpad, the beeping was gone, but not all the buttons worked, so I changed out the control module, too, and it works:) I'm going to put clear caulk along the top to prevent spills from leaking through the front panel.
