Question about Computers & Internet
Does your controller have a VGA output??? If it does then it is VGA compatible. If it does not, well then it isn't. You will have to resolve this hardware issue before you go any further. What follows presumes your monitor (hardware) is supportd by your computer hardware.
This is what I would do in this situation: I would get the latest driver for the device from the manufacturer. BTW, you didnt mention the manufacturer nor the make/model of your monitor nor the operating system you are using, thus a generic answer.
Go to the manufacturers web site for the driver OR if you are using Windows 7 (or earlier), you can go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx, find your device and get the info there. Once you have the latest driver, go to the device manager, delete the device and reboot. When windows tells you it found new hardware, point it toward the location where you have the driver (put it on your desktop to find it easily). Windows should then do the rest.
Other things you may try: Reseat your video card it you have one - reseat your memory chips. Clean the interior of your computer - observing all static electricity safety precautions.
Reboot and you should be fine.
