Hi.
I see this every now and again.

Usually, when people try to install a keyboard/mouse, they almost always forget to go into their bios.

In some bioses, there is settings to specifically allow wireless keyboard' mouse with usb emulation.

Check your bios, make sure that all the settings are the way that they are supposed to be, as I bet that your problem lies there.

I hope this helps you get it working properly, and good luck !

Under system preferences go to keyboard and mouse, click on set up new deviceselect the type of device you are wanting to setup and follow the instructions. If you have used the keyboard or mouse on another computer it could be that they are paired to that computer to unpair them you can use the instructions shown on the following webpage

Optical light on Mouse not working

Hello,

maybe the battery?
follow the steps below to troubleshoot the mouse
Wireless mouse does not respond (generic instructions)

Try to Resynchronize your device with the receiver(connector)
Follow these steps.:
Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, put the device near the receiver and put other wireless keyboards and mouse at least 6 feet away.
1. Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.
2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in several seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, go to the next step.
2. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
3. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 3 again.
For the Wireless Notebook mouse: This issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a pin or a pen to try to release the button if it is depressed.
or
Try different port and restart your computer.
or
Reinsert the batteries or install fresh batteries
If you have the possibility check whether the problem is because of your computer or the device, try the mouse or the keyboard on a different computer.
