Hi I have a maytag neptune MAH 9700AWW washing machine it stopped working and tripped the circuit breaker I am an electrician I would appreciate any help with this problem thank you

It is fused through the house circuit breaker.

Circuit breaker trips mean dangerous high current short-circuit somewheres, call serviceman.

Washing Machine keeps tripping the electrics -

First thing you need to do is check the Circuit Breaker for the dryer. If it is tripped unplug the dryer and reset the Circuit Breaker. Now plug in the dryer and try to run it. If it does not work again check the Circuit Breaker again if it is tripped again unplug dryer and call someone that can help you or fix it. If the Circuit Breaker is not tripped check for good power readings on both power lines coming into the dryer. Should have 110V or more on each line to neutral, and 220V or more between each line. If you do not have the correct voltage at each line check Circuit Breaker for good power coming out.

this looks like it may be your wash heater or your motor
if you take off your motor lead from motor if it still trips ???????? then look at the heater it wants to be replaced

Inside or on the back there is a schmatic with trouble shooting guide. remove top panel and look for burnt spots. most common issues would be broken/cut wire or bad board

Error LR means Locked Rotor.

Either the motor is faulty, there is a wiring problem, or the control assembly is faulty.

Try tripping the circuit breaker to reset the machine, if code comes back a technician must have a look at the motor.

check plastic hose out side of tub to pressure switch
if ok replace pressure switch

Check for ~220 volts AC across the two slanted contacts on the dryer power socket. If nothing, check the house electrical panel for tripped dryer circuit breakers(pair)--push the breakers OFF, then ON to reset. Recheck for 220 volts at dryer socket--if ok now, try the dryer. You need to use a voltmeter for this checking. If it starts, then quits, you likely have an internal short (heating element) inside the dryer case that trips the circuit breakers.
