I resurched this anything between a 9v and 6v input will be fine, however your going to need at least 1000mA input current! This little guy pulls a bit of power. I tried a 9v at 350mA and above volume level 16 it would cut in and out, i replaced it with a 6v 1000mA i got from a salvation army charity store for $1 and it works great at full volume WITH MEGA Xpand whitch seemed to add extra load... So after a bit of soldering and 10 screws removed now working perfect!
Sony did put a plug in connector on the cuircuit boatd with some nice lose heat shrink you can slid back desolder the busted adaptor wire, thread the new wire through back case hole, re solder and slip said heat shrink back! Easy peasey!

I have also same problem. I plugged it in 240V and it does not show up the power.
Have the same problem. I have been googling the specs for the trafo with no luck (and the trafo doesn't hold any information, not very user friendly)
Anyone find a solution to this problem yet? [email protected]
I put the Sony ICF-C1IP Docking Station power supply into 220 Volts, the display lit for seconds then went away without any sound or smell.
Any solution for this.
I thought of replacing the power adapter, but couldn't find the power specifications.
Please help.
