Here is a link to your Owners Manual that you can download and print. Please do not lose it, as this model has been discontinued by Honeywell.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I recently contacted Hunter and they said the loud motor in the Hunter 34357 humidifier can NOT be replaced. Instead, they can provid a pro-rated refund, depending on how long you have owned your humidifier. A receipt from your purchase is needed to get a refund. Contact Hunter at http://www.hunterfan.com/Support/Contact-Us/

Unless you are using a current sensing relay or sail switch, you need to get the humidifier power from the blower motor supply so it only operates when the blower is on.

Since you can manually control the humidifier, there is not a fault with the solonoid.

Sounds like a Water Level Sensor problem. Read the service manual, pages 51 and 53.

http://www.forwardthinking.honeywell.com/related_links/humidification/69_2285.pdf

Unplug the power cord. Turn OFF water. Remove the Water Level Sensor - One screw holds down the spring clip. Remove water scale in the compartment and on the Sensor. Test Sensor with an ohm meter. If OK, reassemble and try again. If bad, replace the sensor.

If you have heavy scale buildup in the sensor compartment, you need better water filtration. Your problems are just starting. This system can be very difficult to clean thoroughly.

Yours is 17 gal a day. Could only find Honeywell which recommends their 12 gal up to 2000 Sqaure foot home. So yours should by good around 2500 to 3000 square feet

I have a Honeywell humidfier HE 220A with a KIP U147112 pump. A lot of water bypasses the humidifer and I use 5 gal. in 24 hours. is there an adjustment on the pump to reduce the flow, or some other...

I have a Honeywell humidfier HE 220A with a KIP U147112 valve. Will turning the large screw head on the valve decrease the volume of water flow through the humidifier. Too much water is being wasted.

Yes you will want the out door sensor. The reason why is it is going to read the average temp outside and will adjust what you hum is producing due to the temp outside, that is so you dont cause condensation on your window. You can run it in manuel or auto but i would strongly reccomend to run it in auto.

Honeywell HCM-525 owners/operation manual NEEDED PLEASE!

The filter should be located below the tank. the tank should lift off of the unit and there should be a rectangular cavity where the filter fits. You will most likely find the old filter dried up and filled with a white crust. That is salt and other minerals in the tap water that the filter catches.
