No. I'm afraid of losing all my information that's stored in this application.
I've tried to repair the installation (using Control Panel -> Program and Features).

    Thanks.

  • Ziv Azmanov Mar 23, 2011

There is an auto backup utility for this application. However, I don't know where the backup file is stored once the backup is completed.

  • Ziv Azmanov Mar 23, 2011

Thanks. Do you happen to know where they are normally located on a Vista PC?

  • Ziv Azmanov Mar 23, 2011

Also, the other problem with re-installing is that I don't have a disk for this program. I purchased it online and downloaded the files directly to my PC. Do you know how I can re-install in this case?

    Thanks again.

  • Ziv Azmanov Mar 24, 2011

    Thanks.

I re-installed the program last night, and again this morning.
However I still have the same problem.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Ziv.

  • Ziv Azmanov Mar 24, 2011

Yes. Actually, I was just able to fix the problem. It turned out that the database was somehow corrupted. I had to remove it and create a new one.

Nevertheless, thank you much for your suggestions, time, and effort. I greatly appreciate it.

Can you make a back up of the files that are stored on the application because we might fix it by reinstalling the application.

    Hi,

Please read below. It seems that the files will be saved on the .pst files.

If the file was saved on the pst it will still remain there.

it really depends on where you save the pst file. you can try to search your computer. Usually you need to reinstall the program if it is not working because some registry files got corrupted. try to search for .pst on your computer

Here's two ways to turn off that error reporting. First, you can Right-Click on My Computer, go to the Advanced Tab, and choose the "Disable error reporting" option.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the services console in Administrative tools, find the Error Reporting Service, go into properties and disable it.
Restart your pc and then try to run your app.

Welcome to FixYa! Are you using window blinds or alienguise or some other window enhancement program? Examples are programs that add extra buttons like transparency and keep always on top or change the look of the windows in anyway (not including standard XP themes), if so disable it and yahoo should work.
Do a search on http://www.wackyb.com for window blinds as it's discussed there often :)

This is sometimes a flash issue, make sure you have download and installed flash from Internet explorer (not any other browser)

WMI has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This is not unusual, Sometimes the software encounters a order that it cannot follow and looks into its error data and sends this message. It maybe a problem downloading an update from Windows, it could be a virus encounter, it could be malware ( Advertisers hijacking your desktop). If it occurs often, then you need to clean somethings out. See: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpperformance/thread/bb4e514d-9afc-41ba-b926-366d2da5e65e

You have a nasty virus. Don't even bother trying to clean the pc, just reinstall Windows directly.
