Question about Sony VAIO FRV Notebook
You are getting the model from the unit's bottom which is incorrect
Search around the lid or open <system information> window from the start menu - accessories - system tools OR Run - type msinfo32 and press enter
On the right side of system information you will find system model
Then go to esupport.sony.com and enter the model vgn... or vpc... or vgc... something you found before. If it doesnt find it there its because the model is foreign and you need to go to the sony support page from the country of purchase

ou must first take off the top plate where the buttons are. Start from the right side and work your way over, the there shouild be 3 screws holding the keyboard down. Once the screws are out slide keyboard up and disconnected the connectors on the botton.
