Put a fork in it, it's done. Take it a tech to give it the sniff test and determine the extent of the damage.

If you want a specific answer regarding a code you need to provide a make and model number. I doubt any code will negate whatever caused 'smoke'. No UNDO buttons on this stuff.

In the future refer to manuals for speakers and amps before randomly attaching parts of other brands or packages' all-in-ones'. They're usually desigend to be used exclusively as one unit and are not generally interchangeable.

Best way to hook up Bose 901 series VI to a Harman Kardon HK3490

According to the HK site, "Stereo pre-amp outputs let you connect the receiver to an external power amplifier." So it's easy. Connect the Bose equalizer in the pre-out / amp in loop.

Ok, have you tryed to unplug all of the wires from the sub, including the power wire from the wall. Install of the speaker wires to the sub, and plug back in the sub. Also what are the numbers on the speakers and the sub.

How to hook up bose 901 active equalizer to onkyo grand integra pre amp?

You don't.

If you have a pre-amp/power-amp combination then the Bose equalizer connects between the two. If you're using the Bose speakers as front L&R, then the connection is between the front L & R pre-out and the power amp's front L & R pre-in.

Alpine x is not reading proper ohm resistance amps blew

the gmax amps are only 2ohm stable. it is odd that they both blew at the same time but if the impedence is too low to amps will fail.dual 4ohm dvc subs wired in parallel should read around 2ohms. allthought impedence varies with frequency and isnt truly stable.

Can I hook the reciever to mm bose subwoofer and 5

if bose unit has built in amplifier .Then your sherwood would have to have a variable RCA output jacks in order to work with sub. Then bose audio input RCA cable would connect there. If bose unit does not have built in amp .Then you would connect sherwood left/right speaker outputs into bose left/right inputs .Then other bose speakers will connect to bose unit

Subwoofer not working properly after a few mins playing

Get a hold of the woofer connector (I believe its brown) right by the whoofer and move it around/press it/disconnect and reconnect and check if the woofer comes on. There is a bad connection in the connector for the woofer itself. I have a 2001 GLE my self and that's what I found to be the problem with mine.

Bose acousticmass 15 sub-woofer making a noise

The sub contains the amp for the other speakers. But it sounds like the amp has a seriously damaged section and will probably have to be serviced by Bose.
