Question about HP EliteBook 6930p Notebook PC
None of that works, security is too good. Have to go through HP or have the Bios chip reflshed or replaced

Generally you would have to get onto the motherboard to do this...you would have to take your laptop apart to expose the motherboard. Some motherboards have a Jumper that you can set to reset the bios (and thus clear the password) You can also try removing the CMOS Battery....leave it out for a minute or two so any residual power dissipates, and replace the CMOS Battery, this could possibly clear the password on the bios chip.
Otherwise there may be some Boot CD utilities like UBCD or Hiren's Boot CD etc, that may have a BIOS reset utility.
