I am running a MAC. There is no such thing as a right click.
Under my monitor resolution settings the only listing is 640 x 480. All the other options are gone. How do I get them back?

I have tried reinstalling my OS and also Disc First Aid...nothing seems to help.

My Mac came with a 16" Sony Trinitron Multiscan G220 monitor so I switched it back to that. The monitor resolution was OK with the Sony for quite awhile...but now it does not give me any resolution options to chose from. What is the problem???

It is not your monitor, more the graphics card. Try reinstalling the OS, or try updating from the apple menu.

Run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. Then do a Repair Disk. Disk Utility should be in your Apps Folder - under Utilities.

My monitor goes black with a horz white line across the center. It is a Lacie on a g4 mac . It is about 6 years. old.

The lcd is bad usually the lines start very small and rapidly over time become about an inch or so thick.

I would check for new drivers for the video card. They usually have higher resolution abilities for these fancy wide screen monitors.

My apple mini mac (no intel) hook up mag monitor 780

The Mac Mini has an adapter plug, DVI to VGA.
If you use the adapter and a VGA cable to the monitor there is not a noticeable difference.

Just be sure to know the resolution maximums of the MAG monitor before you think its the Mac.

Have you tried updating your graphics card? Go to ATI's website and try updating your video card and hopefully that solves your problem. Go to amd.com and go to ATI tab to update your driver. I forgot ATI is under AMD's umbrella

Mac's a bit differant than windows. To change your screen resolution first change the monitors refresh rate to something like 75 hertz. Than you can change the Screen resolution. Thats how it is done on a windows machine. Than again your Mac might need a video card software update.

First, you need to eliminate the video card or the Kogi as the problem, which is quite easy to do by testing a known working monitor on the Matrox card.
