I had the same problem.

Apparently if it's not 'original' the printer does not 'read' it correctly and therefore states that the cartridge is empty. I also found that to refill, clogs the nozzles. Try to clean the nozzles. If it stays the same try a new cartridge. It's all that helped for my printer.

hi, nice to get you help,
you have just to unplug all the cartridge, and re-plug them all by order of number, and if it steel not reconizing the cartridge you have just to try by unpluging the cartridge one by one for ex: unplug the red an let all the cartidge be in, then it ll say black & red, than plug he black, until it will reconize all the cartridge, this problem is due to the epprom disfonction , and exactly in the firmware on the epprom who is making all this troublesss, so you have to keep this way, or if you have used original cartridge, put them on it, then let the printer stay for few days sleep( not ON) , then rechange the cartridge andthe printer is OFF is OFF , then try . this is wh

My canon ip2200 does not recognize my CL 41 ink. The resume button is constantly flashing yellow. How do i fix the problem? i have already replaced my ink twice with new ink. The most recent time it worked...

This is a direct result of refilling the cartridge. What has happened is yuo extended the life of the cartridge by refilling it, but the ink counter is still counting the first cartridge cycle, whick has reached its limit. Try this: remove the cartridge, close the printer and power down. Turn it back on, insert the cartridge, and you should see a dialog box on your computer screen that says something like " a used ink cartridge has been installed". Press ok on that window. Another window should pop up in a minuter that will say "This is a used cartridge, and canon is not responsible for any damage...blah blah." Do NOT press ok on this window. Instead, now press the resume button on the printer. This will Clear the ink counter, and disable it until that cartridge is removed. You should follow this procedure every tim you refill one of these carts. It is just something Canon has done to discourage refilling their carts, as they lose money. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hp black cartiedge is low on immediately

When you refill a cartridge, the printer will keep warning you that it is empty- a message pops out that says "low ink". That is because the printer sees the cartridge by it's serial number. The printer can't know that you have refilled the cartridge, so it keeps saying that it is empty. Once you put in a new cartridge, it will display the cartridge as full again.

I've refilled my black ink cartridge #36 and put it into my Lexmark 5650. My computer will not let me print - not even to "complete a page" print. It says that I need more ink. I have windows vistas. What...

Lexmark 36 and 37 cartridges cannot be refilled. When your ink levels drop below a certain point your printer deactivates the electronics on your cartridge so you cannot refill them. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling shop and I sell Lexmark originals for the 36 and 37 because of this reason. Unfortunately you purchased a machine that you have to buy expensive original ink for. You need to buy Lexmark original 36 and 37 to get your printer to work. As a refiller I never recommend someone buy a Lexmark printer if they ever want to use refills.

Is it possible to refill ink cartridge on Lexmark x6690 printer?

Take out all cartridges, switch printer off and then on again and let printer see that there are no cartridges. Do this 5 times, it resets the cartridges. Then install refilled cartridges

Printer saying refilled bci3e is empty, when it is actually full

This is a very common issue with refilled ink cartridges. The fact is that you have a MP730. The cartridges have an eprom chip loaded into the cartridge which blows once the cartridge is empty. Refilling it as a general rule does not work. The best and only solution to your problem is to pop out to your stationery supplier and purchase a genuine canon cartridge.
As a side not, the ink inside the cartridge is covered by a patent held by canon. it means that no other supplier can use this particular grade of ink. The use on non genuine ink will destroy your printhead and make future use of your unit much less than its normal life expectancy.

Printer says ink cartridge not recognized.

Take the black ink cartridge back to the person who refilled it. The Microchip that's on the cartridge was not reset properly that's why the printer is returning that error.

You can try some steps before you take it to them to verify it.
1: reseat (take out and put back in) the cartridges into place
2: buy another black cartridge just to check if it will be recognized by the printer, if it does recognize it we know the cartridge is defective. If a new cartridge is also not recognize, start to check your warranty option with the manufacturer...

Refilled ink cartridges

The reason why the printer says supply expired because the ink cartridge has its own warranty. When the warranty of the ink cartridge has expired then you will get that message. Eventhough you refill it. You need to replace the ink cartridge itself.

Lexmark 5070 printer

Hard to tell...There are other issues which could contribute related to the printer itself, etc.

But I will say in my experience often refill kits for ink cartridges don't work if you allow them the cartridge to run bone dry. Maybe the internal components become hard and won't re saturate with new ink, not sure. If new cartridges work; and the refills don't I'd say there may be a problem with them.
