    Hello Sir,

Ok, if the USB device in not recognized, try these. First uninstall all the stuff related to your Phone from your PC, drivers/software..everything. And then re-install them again. Also try connecting to some other USB Port.

The problem may also be on the harrdware End. (The Cable or the phone port) Do cross check them indeed.

First things first, don't use those oddball USB cables, if you do so then its wrong. If you are using the Genuine cables then proceed. Ok, Now this isn't the issue at Phones End I'm 90% sure. I've had 2 solutions in mind. actually the USB and the Device drives are messing this thing up.

    • Uninstall the USB root hubs on your pc and reboot (it should re install them fresh)

    • If the problem remains there, then Reload your computers OS. (Or if you have have a backup then restore it).

Yesterday, I received this message ''java error 545 incompatible or corrupt filesystem'' on my blackberry 8220. Please I need help

Hi.

Hopefully you have used your Blackberry Desktop software before your phone died?

If so just go to www.blackberry.com/update and follow instructions to update/re-install your software.

This WILL wipe ALL of your phone so I really hope you have a recent backup?

This is the only fix without getting technical and other ways also will wipe ALL your data.

Sorry!

You have to update the software via Blackberry Desktop Manager. Timing is key as it maynot work the first time... It may take 20-50 tries but this is the only way to get it back up. If you can indeed get it back up everything will be erased. Sorry for the bad information.

All you have to do is use the desktop manager (DM) you should have loaded when you got the phone. if you didnt load the software, go on www.blackberry.com/software to get your version of desktop software. plug the data cable into the phone and do a "hard sync". from the DM, pick the application loader, add load your phone's new version of software. If your pc doesn't see the BB (which is inevitable because pc/windows is trash) restart both pc and the bb. Again, plug the cable into the BB first then into the pc. Once this is complete any info you had on the phone is gone. Sorry, should have used the desktop software before you had a problem :P
NOTE: YESS, mac users there is a desktop manager software for us finally! I believe you have to have "leopard" 10.5.4 or higher. :D
